This hotel is conveniently located downtown if you are going to work nearby. The first day the hotel was experiencing some problems with internet. No heating and at the beginning of December it was very cold. During the evenings everything is closed and quite and there is not much to see. Best value hotel.

I stay one night in this Ibis.
It is a standard Ibis near Bogota Old City.
It is near Gold Museum (Museo del Oro), Candelaria and Montserrat.
You can even walk to these places.
You can use taxis located in the hotel.
You will pay around 30.000 pesos (around U$17) for a transfer airport/hotel.

This was my first visit to Colombia. Clean and modern hotel in center of Bogota. Several staff spoke english and all were helpful. Hotel located walking distance away from several good restaurants. It was about a 15/20 minute walk from the historic part of the city. Hotel offered a really good breakfast which was not included. They were helpful in making arrangements for daytrips to the salt cathedral. I would definitely recommend the hotel to other travelers.

I stayed there three nights, slept very well, breakfast is pretty good, happy to return. I don't know Bogota very well but it is walking distance to the old centre, and there are a couple of nice restaurants near by. I stayed alone and walked outside also in mid-evening and felt very safe. It's not a personalized hotel experience but it does well what it sets out to do, Ibis standard.

This is a new Ibis hotel in a nice area called centro internacional, close to La Candelaria.

Room: Ibis standard. I've read some people complaining about the room size. I strongly disagree, it's basically the same size I've seen in other Ibis hotels.

Bathroom: good enough. Soap/shampoo provided, hygienic shower.

Location: right next to Museo Nacional (a must-see if you're interested in Colombia/South American History), a couple of km (easy and safe walk by Carrera 7) from Plaza Bolivar, a few blocks from La Macarena -- a nice gastronomic area in Carrera 4. Plaza de Toros, Parque Independencia and Torre Colpatria are just around.

Staff: always very kind.

Value: we had promotional fares on a weekend so it turned out to be a great deal.

Cleaniness: it's Ibis standard, it's clean.

Others: hotel provides its own transportation (a private taxi) to anywhere in the city, with fixed fares a bit higher than local taxis. It's worth as taxis in Bogotá are unfortunately unsafe in general.

Room Tip: The higher, the better

Located next to the National Museum, this skyscraper is a bit upmarket from other Ibises where I've stayed, with a full-scale restaurant and plenty of generally friendly staff available. As others have said, the rooms are fairly small though adequate if you mainly want to sleep there and do some work on your own. The windows don't open but the a/c works discreetly and has a fair range of temperatures. The breakfast is average and basically Continental plus omelet, with some interesting local juices. Not everyone speaks English but they are always able to hunt out someone who does. Free wifi seems fine though you need to log on again if you move from room to lobby or vice versa.

Overall, not wildly exciting but a good bargain.

Room Tip: They asked me if I wanted to be high up or low down. High up seems good, for the view and lack of no...
