While the Ibis chain can be quite disappointing elsewhere, this hotel is new, clean and has excellent service. The rooms are very nice with big windows with a view, comfy beds and blankets, nice flat screen TV, safe box and clean bathrooms, sheets and towels. It is also centrally located and within a short drive to different parts of town. I will definitely stay here again.

I was shocked by the shoebox-sized rooms : no dresser, no night-stand, no closet, no place to put your luggage. I felt like I was in an RV. Make sure to take soap and shampoo/conditioner. The hotel does have a/c and hot water. The lobby was nice, the buffet breakfast was inexpensive and tasty (cereals, breads, butter/jam, scrambled eggs, fruits, hot coffee/tea), and the Wi-Fi is free.

I did really like the downtown location - walking distance to the national museum, a nice park and lots of shops/restaurants. Don't be fooled by the graffiti that blankets the entire city ... it is VERY safe with lots of private security as well as police and even an occasional soldier.

As others have said, there is construction noise which will be going on for a couple of years BUT just request a high floor and this will NOT be a problem. Do run for your life (exaggerating) when crossing the streets due to all the crazy drivers.

IBIS brand is consistent: you know what you get, clean room, efficient service and quiet.
IBIS museum is centrally located in the financial district, near great eating and shopping places on Carrera Siete. The streets around the hotel are all broken up and pedestrian walkways have to be followed.

As everybody knows, Ibis Hotel net use to be basic, but this specific one add some facilities, like free internet in the lobby and free wi-fi in the rooms and all hotel areas. Good breakfast with nice view from the restaurant . The location could be not the better, but still OK, in special if you are in a business trip. It`s in downtown and that`s possible go walking to some interesting places like La Candelária, etc. National Museum is just few steps away and many another attractions. The hotel is a new building , clean and very well maintained.
Friendly and helpfull staffs is another must!
I definitly would stay again!

The hotel is clean, the staff is not very friendly, the rooms are small, but is well situated. There's a lot of construction going on around, and most of the walk ways around the area are closed, so not very safe to walk around during the night.

Overall: Good for a one to two night stay!

I stayed at the Ibis during a week long business trip to Bogota. It was my first experience staying at an Ibis and I have to say I really enjoyed this hotel. I appreciated the design, the security (there was always a security guard inside the lobby and two outside) and the hospitality of the staff. Although I only have limited Spanish skills, the front desk and the wait staff at the restaurant were helpful and friendly.

Some caveats:
1) If you get cold easily, bring extra bedclothes, because the rooms tend to get chilly at night.
2) Bring shampoo for the shower, because the hotel only provides shower gel, which is the same you use to wash your hands.
3) The printer by the computers was down, although the front desk printed a document for me that I needed printed.

Room Tip: There's construction on one side of the hotel and a disco on the other, so you may need to pick...
