“Modern hotel and typical of the Ibis chain”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

The hotel is relatively new and very modern. It has a popular restaurant that is popular with the local business community. Reception didn't allow anyone to check in until the actual time of check in (1:00 PM) even though it was evident rooms were ready. However, the entire hotel has free wi-fi and there are 3 computers set up in a mini business center. Rooms had soundproof windows and the rooms were very quiet. The room design was standard - normal size and not too small. It was disappointing that they did not have shampoo in the bathroom, so if you stay here, make sure to take some with you. Buffet breakfast was also a bit disappointing with some bland scrambled eggs as the only hot option available. However, the juice was fresh and the coffee was quite good. Overall a good and affordable option in a nice part of Bogota.

Room Tip: I stayed on the 15th floor and asked for a room away from traffic.

We stayed here as a treat after 3 months of backpackers hostels throughout South America.
It was great value, i think about $65usd for a night. I have to echo what others have said on here about the salsatecas, we should have requested a room on the Museo side and will next time but other than that the bed was comfy and the room spacious. Breakfast was basic so we only had it once but what really made the hotel for us was the location. 15 min walk to La Candelaria if thats what you like. We preferred this area to Candelaria as it felt much safer and we were right opposite a Juan Valdez cafe in the Museo. Will definitely stay again.

New building, very nice lobby, clean and comfortable room, great breakfast. The property is right across the National Museum and very convenient to the downtown area of Bogota. Although there is a lot of construction in front of the hotel, the room was quiet. An amazing value (extremely low weekend rate!).

Apart from a slow check-in and being charged the wrong rate for my room, my experience here was positive. If it hadn't been for this, I would have given the hotel four stars. The room was quiet, clean and modern, with an excellent shower. The price was good value for the quality of the room - I booked by internet 20 days in advance and got a special rate, however the hotel didn't seem to notice this and charged me the normal rate. I only noticed later and, at the receptionist's request, I had to print a copy of my confirmation email to prove that I had booked at the lower price, so when you check in it's worth having a copy with you. The breakfast buffet was reasonably good if you want to gorge yourself, but if you just want something simple, there are plenty of cafes nearby. The location is reasonably good, not too far from La Candeleria if you want to walk, about 20 minutes. Although a taxi is much quicker, there are some major roadworks going on nearby at the moment, so taxis are not as convenient as they should be for the moment.

Hotel is very close to the historic centre of town but rather distant from most of the industrial of commercial areas of the city and a long way from the airport. A lot of noise so better to take a room on one of the very upper floors.
