The Casa Deco is a Boutique Hotel in the centre of Bogotá's Old Town. Its perfect size - not too big, not too small - makes it a perfect and comfortable place for visitors. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they treat their guests with authentic sympathy. Each room has a different design and colour, inspired in artists, and fresh flowers welcome the guests. A guitarrist accompanies breakfast on some days, classical music (not salsa) is the basso continuo in the dining room. I recommend this fine hotel and hope to come back soon.

The hotel is located in the old town which is great during the day - but not a particularly safe area at night.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable and bathrooms are well equipped. Breakfast was freshly prepared with juices, fruit and choice of eggs, cereals or pancakes.
The staff is helpful and friendly and we loved the rooftop terrace.

Room Tip: Rooms on 4th floor are the best! Try to avoid the rooms on the 2nd flloor (1st by European standards...

We were advised to visit La Candelaria but not stay there. However we ignored that and booked 4 nights at Casa Deco. What an excellent decision. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful from the time we arrived to the time we left.
We had a room on the top floor so were able to take advantage of the roof top balcony. There was not a lift but 3 flights of stairs was not a problem and in actual fact we enjoyed the "informal" workout. Breakfast ,while not buffet was very good and a guitarist playing classical music was very soothing.
Location is excellent with so many historical attractions within walking distance and although we were not out really late ,always back at the hotel by 10.00 pm, we never felt unsafe. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this little gem and would highly recommend.

The staff at Casa Deco made us feel welcome as soon we arrived. The owner offered us tea and gave us tips on all the major attractions within walking distance of the hotel. We felt very safe in a pretty gritty, fascinating city. We used the map he gave us for the rest of our stay in Bogota. The staff also gave us restaurant recommendations (El Gato Gris was really great) and answered all our questions about getting to different landmarks. The rooms are spacious and clean and we liked hanging out on the rooftop terrace after dinner, enjoying the views of the bustling colonial district and the mountains beyond. Breakfast was also really good (fruit salad, fresh-squeezed juice, coffee or tea and a choice of eggs, pancakes or granola, plus croissants) and the live guitarist was a nice touch. The only downside to the hotel is that the water pressure in the shower is pretty weak, but in the grand scheme of things, this really was not a problem. We would definitely return.

From the moment I arrived at this hotel, I was in love. The decor was gorgeous, the staff was incredibly hospitable, and our room was beautiful and spacious. This hotel is located in La Candelaria, which has a very active nightlife on all the days of the week. But despite being in the heart of one of the busiest parts of town, we were able to enjoy the privacy of our room and had no problem falling asleep. Everything worth going to in Bogota is within walking distance from this hotel and their staff is always more than happy to provide a map with directions. The front desk staff speaks perfect English. They always have a fresh pot of Coca tea (along with coffee and aromatic teas) to help alleviate some of the altitude sickness most people get when they first arrive in Bogota. Their lobby is always playing a beautiful melody of classical music and during breakfast, there is a live piano player. Breakfast was absolutely delicious (not like a generic buffet breakfast). It's got great options, fresh pastries, and fresh juice.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a total of 4 nights. Upon cleaning our rooms, they tidied up just enough but not too much (they didn't meddle with any of our personal belongings); fresh sheets, towels, toiletries, clean glasses, re stocked mini bar, etc. They left our personal belongings exactly where they were. The safe is only accessible by the guest in the room and is where you should put all of your valuables. On our last day, we wanted to explore the Chicaque, which was going to be a half day, out door / nature ordeal. Our flight wasn't until 11:05PM and while we checked out and went to the famous national park, they held our baggage for us. I didn't think we were going to need to rest after that day in the park, let alone get sick during my travels. The plan was to return to Bogota and check out some of the pockets of town we may have missed. But sure enough, I needed a bed, shower, and toilet post Chicaque. Normally, hotels would charge you an extra night for staying past check out time. Casa Deco was kind enough to negotiate a VERY REASONABLE price in exchange for letting us lodge and rest up until we had to leave for a flight back to America. My 5 star review isn't because they did this for me. It is because they have the best service I've seen in a long time, safety (security personnel 24 hours a day and a working safe), cleanliness, and the perfect vacation environment.

Be sure to get a look at the rooftop deck, especially while the sun rises/sets.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel during your time in Colombia.

Room Tip: The closer you are the street, the more noise you will here. But It's really not that bad. For a...

My husband and I have just spent 4 nights at this lovely and comfortable hotel in the heart of the Candelaria district in Bogota. We were able to stay in the Purple suite on the 4th floor which is quite sumptuous with its own private balcony and large walk in shower. Even though arrival time was at 5 a.m., they graciously greeted us, showed us to our room with hot tea and a comfy bed to catch up before our first day of sightseeing. The hotel is well maintained, excellent breakfast, lovely flowers everywhere, even a live guitarist during breakfast one morning. We felt safe, secure, and we totally could rely on their recommendations. They arranged an English speaking driver, Margarita, for a tour out of the city which was excellent. The hotel itself is well situated for visiting Museo de Oro, Museo de Botero, and many historic sites on foot. We would highly recommend this hotel and their welcoming, excellent staff. We have loved it!

Room Tip: Go high 4th floor has excellent balconies for exquisite views. The staff will carry your bags. Some...

I spent 5 nights at Casa Deco towards the end of April and can only speak very highly of the personnel, accommodation and location. The design and attention to detail, especially the flowers, is just right - not fussy but perfect for either business or pleasure. In my view, if travelling on business, I would rather drive 20kms to stay at Casa Deco than at one of the 'International' hotels closer to the airport. There is wifi, work space, comfortable beds, hot water and excellent breakfast in stylish surroundings plus hotel transport and good choice of restaurants or cafes for all budgets nearby. For a holiday or short visit location couldn't be better, within walking distance of lots to see and do. The personnel are delightful, they speak a number of languages including english, french and german, and go out of their way to be helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfasts are delicious - good choice, and I loved the aromatic tea which is available throughout the day - just help yourself! The classical guitarist who played during breakfast on Saturday morning was very talented. If you are a light sleeper take ear plugs, because particularly on Friday or Saturday nights there is lots of activity - the hotel is in La Candalaria and near to a univeristy, so lots of activity and can be noisy (same for any accommodation in La Candalaria). Felt very safe, secure and made most welcome. Recommend highly. Love the rooms. Stayed with colleagues and on my own (female - felt very safe). Added bonus is the view from the roof terrace.

Room Tip: No lifts. Some noise from other clients as floors are wooden, some road noise. However, this does n...
