Description: Hallwright's philosophy is to promote the best of Bolivia`s wines and to showcase each unique winery, their histories and their high quality products. Also is to promote local Bolivian produce and producers. When in comes to food, we are proud of our cuisine, and each dish showcases a different stage in the road that led us to where we are.

Stopped in to Hallwrights for happy hour and was greater with the friendliest service I had gotten in La Paz. The suggested wine was delicious and so was the cheese plate we ordered. I would highly recommend Hallwrights!

I was recently in La Paz for a month and stumbled across this lovely wine bar on my first night. I returned most evenings for the rest of my trip. The selection of wines is outstanding - you'll be surprised of the quality available in Bolivia, though there are some from Argentina and Chile too. I'm not a particularly knowledgable wine drinker but the staff were great at providing recommendations to suit my palate and I was most interested in the Bolivian stuff. Although not a fully fledged restaurant, the food is really quite decent, with a selection of cheeses and cold cuts along with sandwiches and other bites with ingredients of high quality. As for the staff, they are some of the nicest people you'll find in La Paz and the owners the friendliest young couple, who will often join for a glass of wine and a chat. The bar also has a proper expresso machine which you'll find is pretty rare in La Paz. I'm learning Spanish and as well as Spanish the staff also spoke English which was pretty helpful. For me this place is a must visit for anyone travelling to or living in La Paz.

Small and intimate this is a great place for a few wines and a tabla or two. Josh and Kathryn are attentive hosts that know their wines and the produce.

Visited Hallwrights for a few wines and certainly wasn't disappointed! The place has a great range of local wines as well as a few from Chile and Argentina - by the glass and bottle. We also enjoyed a delicious selection of dips with bread, all sourced from local produces. In particular the trout dip was great! Wish we were in La Paz long enough to return.

We shared a lovely Christmas eve at Hallwrights wine bar with the lovely two owners. They took us through their wine list and helped us choose one just right to suit their lovely tasting platter of alpaca salami, cheeses and more.
It was an unexpected pleasure which made our Christmas abroad even more special.
