“Classic little street”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

I visited on a Sunday so not much was open but it's a gorgeous, clean street that still maintains the classic buidlings from the 19th century. The museums there are nice but not great though they don't cost much. It's a must see in La Paz for cultural purposes.

“Interesting little street”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2014

Situated between the bus station and the San Francisco Cathedral, it is easy to walk to. It is an old colonial street with several museums--especially the musical instrument museum where, if you are very lucky, you may meet Ernesto Cavour, the legendary charango player who acts as curator. Has a very nice Pena where Bolivian folk music and dance is presented. Audiences are about 60% Bolivian and the rest tourists.

“Go early”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

it was nice to walk up and down but we we went early in the morning and late in the afternoon (to check out a coffee shop we'd seen) but everything was shut both times. Get a tour with Banjo Tours and they'll explain a little about it.

Mornings are better to visit because you can get a few shots without someone wearing zip off pants and velcro sandals stepping into your shot.

“not impressed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

As reported by other reviewers, all musea were closed end December/early January. Without the musea the street has nothing special: many colonial towns have nicer streets. If you also visit Cuzco don't waste time here.

“All closed till jan 6th”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013 via mobile

Increable, all musea are closed for at least one month! This will not help the tourism in thia country. Although the street by it self is very nice and well restored, closing these musea is a complete failure..
