This museum is housed in a lovely old building. Has lots of diverse art, including a couple of Remington sculptures, and lots of paintings for sale. Admission was about $2, but it was another $3 to use a camera.

Thanks to the Plaza family, there´s paintings, sculpture and some other types of work to enjoy, all mostly 20th century. Interesting sets of paintings on figures like Fidel Castro and especially Che Guevara, and other themes of interest to Latin Americans like the conquest of the Incan empire. Vivid modern and post-modern and surreal works. Check their calendar for events held in this wonderful century-old house with an art-deco feel. There´s a shop on the first floor. It´s right on the Prado too, easy to find.

Situated on the Prado, this museum is really worth it. It is only 15 Bs p.p. We are not contemporary art buffs, but we did find some interesting pieces.

Anyway, the building is a piece in itself. I believe it is a colonial house. Seems like they left all the walls and stairs standing as they were, so you feel like perambulating in a very old house full of history. We had a very relaxing hour in the morning (when the sun enters the vidrios of the facade) being there.

Not very big but worth checking out before going to do the rounds on Sagarnaga Street. My wife and I have purchased painting from here before.
