Owner description: Especially fun for children, this museum lets them try playing the assortment of ancient instruments, all made from natural elements, like wood, bone, turtle shells and toucan beaks.

Our tour guide took us here. He explained where the instruments came from, how old they were and how they were used. Interesting hour.

We ended up at this museum as the one we intended to visit was inexplicably closed. It proved at be a good substitute with plenty to see as the exhibits are well presented and there is plants if opportunity for 'hands on' experiences.

Great little museum in the "artist district" along Calle Jaen in La Paz. I've now been there twice, once two years ago, and again a few weeks ago, and enjoyed it a lot both times. The whole area around there's also worth wandering around and perusing (especially the artisan shops).

This museum wasn't as great as I had hoped. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I liked that you could play some of the instruments they had out - that was fun. There wasn't much information explaining what types of instruments there were or how the ones that looked similar were actually a little different. If there was more information presented it could be really cool. Cheap though, so check it out if it sounds interesting.

Well worth a short visit to see an amazing collection of Bolvian and international instruments. The location is very interesting- the only colonial street really
