“Good place for a break in the middle of the city tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

If you want a good deal for a meal in the city centre this is the place. Near of San Francisco church. For a few bucks you can get a salad bar, soup, main course and dessert. Good internet connection, tasty passion fruit juice, nice decoration, friendly waiters and clean toilets. We went several times.

“Limited lunch menu”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

We arrived in La Paz just before lunch and as we were staying at the Casona Hotel decided to have lunch in the attached restaurant. The lunch menu was limited , and wanting a snack was not helpful. That said, the salad bar was extensive, the service prompt and the food generally good. However I felt let down by the limited menu.

“Great lunch menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

The food was great and for 40 Bolivianos you can have salad from the buffet, soup, a choice of 3 main courses and dessert. Drinks are obviously not included in the price. The building is also beautiful.

“A really nice treat or special occasion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014 via mobile

If your looking for somewhere for a special occasion or to break away from the local comidas this place is worth it!
We went all out for my boyfriends birthday with delicious local red wine, shrimps for entree (really good) and the shared grill platter. As we don't eat pork we asked them to replace the pork and chorizo. We got a sizzling plate with 2 massive steaks (very well cooked) and 2 chicken breasts. We also had a Sunday for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were very helpful and when I asked them to make the dessert a little special for my boyfriends birthday they turned out the lights, started playing happy birthday and brought and extra cake with a candle and didn't even charge us for it! My only minor criticism was that it took a while for us to be seated and or the wine to come. It is of course more expensive than many other restaurants but as a treat, comparing prices back home and considering the quality of the food... It is definitely worth it!

“Cleanest restaurant in La Paz”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014 via mobile

Probably the best meal we had in Bolivia! It was fresh, service was incredible and the value was great. I had their la Paz specialty, a steak with choclo and cheese and it was surprisingly awesome! I say surprisingly because my expectations have been lower based on some average and even not great food experiences here in Bolivia. Our hotel, Las Brisas suggested we go there. We payed $75usd for 2 bottles of wine, 3 huge entrees and a cheese and meat plate!
