“Warm beer, bad fish”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

We went to Thai Palace because we were really stuck on a Sunday night and had very few options.

The staff ignored us for a while, but when he came over, the waiter was very pleasant.

We ordered two beers, some sushi and a curry. The beer came out after 15 minutes and was warm. Obviously they had no cold beer and tried to blast it in the freezer for a few minutes to try to get it cold - it didn't work.

Next, after another 10 minutes, our sushi came out. The fish had a really crumbly texture and was not fresh. We sent it back (not expecting to see it again). 10 minutes later, the waiter came back with the same sushi (turned the other way around) and explained that the texture was usual as the fish was FROZEN. We told him that it was not acceptable (seeing that the fish comes from lake Titicaca - 1 hour away!) and we just got the bill and decided to forego the next course.

One to avoid - bad food, poor service and high prices.

“Pretty bad”
Reviewed December 20, 2011

Slow service, quality of food terrible, the milkshake we ordered was off, but they replaced it promptly. The food was partially cold and the music pretty annoying. The only good thing There is Wifi from the neighboring hotel.

“If you are hungry, don't come here unless you like waiting over 1 HR 30 mins for food”
Reviewed December 12, 2011

Decided to try Thai Palace last night. Being Sunday night, the place was only a quarter full, yet we waited over 1 hour 30 minutes for food and still NOTHING.

Fed up, we left money on the table for our drinks and left. The most frustrating part was there were at least 6 workers I could see and many of them just seemed to be goofing off having a good time...not the least bit concerned about the customers.

When the table next to ours finally received their food, I overheard comments of "the food is cold", and "my soup is missing". Just not acceptable in my opinion for a place that is NOT cheap compared to other Bolivian restaurants.

I would not recommend this place at all.

“Ok but overpriced”
Reviewed April 2, 2011

Don't go here expecting an authentic Thai food experience. The food is just ok... If you need a break from the sometimes bland cuisine of south America its good enough, but more expensive than other restaurants. The service was great but we were also the only group in the restaurant.

“Really not a good value”
Reviewed December 28, 2010

The good sides are the food presentation and the welcome. The waiter is polite and cool.

We had to wait for 1 hour to be serve even if the restaurant was pretty empty.
My rolls were tiny and my girlfirend's meal was cold.

It s not cheap for the country: main US$ 7-12.
