Golf is not my sport, but we accepted the invitation of friends who are La Paz Golf Club members to have lunch here and afterwards walk with them while they played. This review is about the restaurant.
The location is superb with breathtaking views; it enjoys a micro climate that provides an eternal spring temperature. We sat at the terrace under a shade and ordered drinks and main courses. The buffet they provide on Sundays didn't look very inviting, just very standard fare. So we ordered a la carte.
The drinks took a very long time to arrive, while the terrace was not full. The young waiter was apparently new on the job, but didn't receive proper coaching from the supervisor who walked around and greeted the various customers.
We got our meals not at the same time, in fact one of us had to call the waiter twice to remind him of one missing main dish. Because it took so long to receive the food we ordered another drink, which never came. All in all very disappointing service!
The food itself was regular, nothing special.
So, please visit to play on the highest course in the world, but stay away from the restaurant.
