“Amazing sunset”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Go in the early evening and enjoy the sunset with the poetry of Carlos Páez Vilaró. There is also very nice art exhibition and wonderful view of the ocean and the landscape of Punta del Este. Looks a lot like the Greek shore.

“Odd, beautiful, overcrowded!”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Our visit to Casapueblo -- museum fee is U$S 13 per person -- was interesting. The bus tours packed the place, making it hard to find quiet spots to enjoy the unusual architecture, sea views, and the film about the artist. We had our young daughter with us, and keeping track of her was a challenge due to the crowds. I can't see staying here as a hotel guest because of the crowds. It's also a long way down to the beach. Off season, however, is probably a different story.

“Breath-taking view...”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

The place is amazing. You can have a snack at their restaurant where the view is amazing. To go down the restaurant you have to pay a minimum of 250,00 pesos uruguayos, but that's probably the amount you spend for a nice coffee, toasts, or a sandwich. Watching the sunset from this place is just great.

A beautiful view. Especially at sunset. A good restaurant and museum await the visitor here. A not to miss site when in Punta del Este.
