I'll echo the other reviewer. We've spent 9 days in Uruguay so far, at some very nice places like the Four Seasons. We came across Guappa while wandering through Punta del Este and even though we didn't have reservations they were able to accommodate the two of us. This truly was the best dinner we've had in Uruguay. I had the salmon and the wife had the mushroom risotto, and both were spectacular. Service was very efficient and friendly, and the view of the sunset over the harbor was magnificent. Was also a treat to watch the other patrons, mostly from Argentina or Brazil during this holiday season - we were definitely underdressed, but no one seemed to care. The presumed owner spent a lot of wandering around and talking with patrons, and helping out when things got busy. That attitude says a lot. Prices were reasonable - and cheaper than a couple other places we had eaten at.
