This is a great place in Punta del Este for the culinary specialty from this part of the world...grilled meat. The location, one block off the main drag, was very convenient as we had seen it on a previous pass through town. On this occasion, we decided to give it a try for lunch.

The exterior appeared quite nice connoting a pleasant vibe. Upon walking in, that vibe was reinforced as the bow-tied waiters and linen table cloths told us we were likely in for a nice treat.

We were seated right away and our waiter attended to us right away. He was a very affable gentleman who was able to speak decent English. He provided great service for our entire visit and added to the enjoyment of our experience.

For the five of us, we ordered two Menu Turisticos, a Parrillada Completa Para Dos and a 4 Queso Pasta. The grilled meat was very good as it contained beef and pork. The Turistico meals included salads, breaded chicken and fries as well as desserts. We enjoyed them also. My daughter was the one to order the four-cheese pasta and was quite pleased with it.

The prices were relatively expensive. Including the coffees to finish our meal and the drinks with our meal, the total was $3125 URS before tip (about $136 USD or a little over $27 per person). While this was a bit on the expensive side, at the same time the quality of the fare was excellent.

If you are in Punta del Este and want some great grilled meat, this is a terrific choice.

Me and my whife were there to have lunch. It was out of the high seasons and we did not have problems to seat.

We ordered a Lomo and the meat was perfect! Very juicy and delicious! The side dish was ok.

The waiter was also frindly.

The negative point was that as soon as we seated they put on the table some bread and butter. Not good at all... And they did not asked if we want it. We did not eat that but it was charged, twice - one service for each of us.

We did not have a great expectation about the place and the quality of the meat was a very good point but the overall experiance was just ok.

For diners accustomed to modern eateries in beach towns, this will be a novel experience. It's pure old-world bistro service. Properly attired wait staff, knowledgeable about the menu, formal (but not stuffy) service. And the food was impeccable. Steak au poivre was worthy of Paris. I'd go back anytime!

A really good dinner, with a friendly chatty waiter happy to talk to me in English (thanks so much).
It is not always nice eating alone in a new country, but this was a very nice experience in a lovely city.

It is centrally located, the prices were reasonable and the food was good quality. Service was ok. Since we went there off season, we did not have to wait to be seated.
