Tried Sofra's famous iftar a few days ago and was impressed with the food variety and quality. A very extensive buffet that featured a delicious international cuisine, from the Emirates and the gulf region, North Africa, India, Italy, Thailand, etc. The huge buffet area was well organized and stocked with everything you could think of, all fresh and in generous quantities. My only (major) gripe with this restaurant was the way they arranged the dining area- it was literally packed with tables and looked very much like a busy school cafeteria during lunch. They even put tables under the staircase. No ambiance at all, people constantly bumping into you while they walk by because there's very little space to move around. I thought trying to pack as many people as possible wasn't a brilliant idea, it simply made a beautiful place look and feel cheap. I recommend that you go for the good food only if you don't care much about the ambiance.
