We have been to the Mezzaluna everytime we were in Abu Dhabi. It used to be our favorite restaurant and the whole family was looking forward to going back there for dinner but it was a little dissapointing. We were seated by a friendly server but none of the servers asked to take our coats, so they were hanging over our chairs throughout the whole dinner not really 5 star. The starters were okay. Unfortunatly, all of the main courses were only tepid. The lamb was okay but not enough sauce, the fish was dry, the lasagne was fine from the taste but not presented very nicely and the cheese was a bit too burnt, the steak from the truffel menu was not medium as ordered and did not have sauce, the food overall just did not meet our expectations. Otherwise the service was very attentive, friendly and we never had an empty glass. Unfortunately the service did not ask us how our meal was and none of the supervisors came to ask how the evening is going. This used to be different with a very friendly German supervisor! After paying we walked out, past the supervisor, we would have liked to have given some feedback but he did not even see the necessity to say good bye. For the price you pay we expected better and it was not as good as it used to be.
