You can't skip Heritage Village when you visit Abu Dhabi. It gives you a better understandig of the rapid development of the Pearl of the Gulf. Also very nice for children!

I found the Heritage Village a little disappointing, but a wonderful place to take visitors on the Dubai Creek.

Abu Dhabi does not have a lot of place where you can learn about the traditional culture of the Emirati people. This is one place that give people that opportunity. There are several exhibits where you can see traditional houses, photos from the pre-oil boom days, and Emirati arts and crafts.

Unfortunately, Heritage Village is very small. Don't set your expectations too high. However, you should definitely visit this place if you are in town. There are many excellent photo opportunities because it is possible to see the city's shoreline from the breakwater. Marina Mall is also nearby and approachable by foot.

A group of new buildings and some tents put together to mimic an authentic arab village. Not interesting, not educating, hardly any staff to explain things or not even a sign to explain. The only good thing about it was the view on the skyline of Abu Dabi city.
