A showcase of rich collection from a proud history. The museum is well organized and educative. Surrounding is well maintained with lush green sights.

We went here as part of a city tour, we only had half an hour there and to be honest it was enough. It is looking a bit tired and the animals (camel, arabian horse and a donkey) looked very forlorn. There is a few tat souveiner stalls that sell 'local' stuff but there is very little to look at in general, could do with an overhaul.

ONLY scenerie of the sea is nice
The restaurant is very bad and dirty, food is extremly bad, the tea is unforgetably bad.
Hope no one needs to use WC.
Take care when you get out you don't find a taxi.
Lousy experience.

Just as with most other purposely built recreations of 'authentic' villages, Abu Dhabi's Heritage Village is a rather disappointing attempt to bring Emriati culture to its visitors. The small market sells the traditional tourist rubbish you can buy in any souvenir shop across the entire Middle East and even Asia. Having said that, there are some local worksops where you can watch tradtional craftsmen adn women producing some local crafts which can also be bought. The best part of the Village though is the museum which shows anything from traditional jewelery to household tools and fishing instruments. If coming from elsewhere than Abu Dhabi just for the day, make sure you ring up in advance to check that the Village is open as the opening hours indicated on the website are not always applicable and you might find yourself in front of closed doors.

Free entry / Free Parking..but very busy
Great way to see how life in the Desert was in past years. I even rode a Camel for Dh10, and the "camel man" took photos for us, and was quiet happy to be in the photos also..
Walk along the beach and see the blue/green water and city in the background.

Upon walking into the Village, we expected a half hour visit, but ended up staying most of the day.

This is a MUST.... Excellent experience.
