A friend who lives in Abu Dhabi recommended this hotel and we were very pleased. It has a good location within walking distance of the corniche. Sharing a wonderful and very warm pool with the Meridien Hotel next door. The rooms were very comfortable and a newspaper delivered each morning. A light to request when to have the room cleaned or not to be disturbed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Short taxi ride to massive shopping malls. We also explored by foot all the other hotels nearby which were much more expensive.

Room Tip: The first night I was aware of the live music from the bar on the ground floor. Maybe request a quie...

I booked into Al Ain Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi because I already had a team member staying there. Boy! Was I surprised! The hotel is said to be 3 Star but I got 5 Star treatment. The rooms are excellent and the staff is great! The hotel has 8+ restaurants and the room service menu is great! Free Internet and breakfast included at about $100/- per night in th heart of Abu Dhabi is a fabulous price. I didn't have to take a taxi to visit my clients - just walked down the street! That in itself is a great saving, not just in taxi costs but in time!

For tourists too this is a great hotel to stay. It is right on the Abu Dhabi Corniche and walking distance from the major shopping areas of the city.

What really blew me away was the staff and their support. I stayed for 10 days and I was treated like royalty!

Very highly recommended!

Room Tip: This is not a high rise hotel, so ask for a Corniche room - again depending on whether you want a sm...

Asked to provide a valid ID (Not passport) from the online booking. On arrival was informed my UK license was not acceptable. Refused entry to a pre paid room when there was documented correspondence between myself and the day manager earlier during the afternoon; and when asked the manager whether it was acceptable to leave a 23 year old on the street, he replied "I do not have to deal with this, it is not my problem." Eventually I showed him an email of another English lady's passport and the unprofessional, lack of competence fool did not realise it was not me and I finally arrived at the dingy room after 3 hours in the reception.

This hotel is one of the oldest in Abu Dhabi but has none of the charm of old hotels in countries as it's been added to and refitted many times since the 60s.
The hotel is not in a great area for walking as nothing surrounds it, all the buildings are other huge hotels or offices.
The hotel has a lot of Asian resturants and bars and one English pub. These are noisy at night with bands and karaoke, they are also full of prostitutes which you will see around the door of the hotel leaving it arriving with much older men.
The hotel it's self lacks any atmosphere but to the small lobby and indifferent staff.

As for the rooms they are not worth the money. The windows are as good as useless because they don't close properly resulting in you hearing all the traffic and even people chatting outside! The rooms are dark because the windows are filthy and the facade of the hotel as been badly amended over time. The chairs and carpets are light coloured and filthy as you can see in the attached photo. The bathroom is dirty also with a simple clean of visible dirt it would be a start! The noise from the bars goes on until 2am as really this hotel cares more about the pervs in the bars than the guests sleeping in the rooms. Not that much sleeping goes on as noises from the other rooms is a clear indicator of what the hotel is used for by some guests!

The hotel is a bit like a prison as they take the ID off any visitors and don't return it until they leave which is illegal in the UAE unless you're the police. They also copy this and make guests sign a copy. This a is a practice I haven't seen in any other hotel. It's also bypassed by the girls picked up in the bars and who are whisked straight into the lift next to the bar and up to the rooms by gentlemen who partake in the company of these girls.

I didn't eat at the hotel resturants as the filith of the rooms made me wonder how the kitchens looked but they do sell pork which is rare here. I think that maybe to do with the number of Filipinos hanging around the bars and lobby.

If you want a budget hotel Abu Dhabi offers cleaner and newer hotels with better service and better locations. The only reason I choose this hotel is at the time of stay a major exhibition was taking place and everywhere was full or very high priced. This place want full and was still offering cheap rates, now I know why.

If cost is concern than its good hotel to stay. It is well located and near to business offices. Reasonable room rent. Average food, average room and interiors. Having thai and continental restaurant. Having gym, swimming pool. Having disco. Average breakfast.

I stayed here for several weeks during October 2013, the hotel is AD's only 3 star hotel I believe, but it did not disappoint. Reception is open, clean, with friendly staff. Rooms are well equipped, and comfortable, but at only 3 stories tall don't expect dramatic views.

But for 330 AED a night I was well satisfied, in addition the pool area is good, with plenty of loungers and good service; and the gym is of a good size.

WiFi was included in my rate, and it is of an excellent speed, allowing viewing of online tv which is a bonus.

The in house Fillipina based bar/restaurant Tambayan has a good atmosphere, with live music and great staff.

Hotel is well located for walking into the downtown area for shops, restaurants, and right on the Corniche.

Room Tip: I stayed in the North Wing on floor 1, and the room was affected by the noise from band downstairs...
