“Traditional palace grandeur”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Wow ! words can never alone really explain how huge and grand emirates palace is . We stayed over Christmas in a suite plus a deluxe room for our son. All magnificent. Beautiful little gifts and touches such as chocolate sleighs and Christmas stockings on our door handles. It really is huge so allow lots of time .. Around 20 mins to walk from room to .. Restaurant. Or salon or spa etc...we loved the pool bar to sit in and the quiet zone without small children... Don't get me wrong nothing wrong with little ones but perfect to have a choice . Hair salon BEWARE ... £200 for a wash conditioning treatment and blow dry which is excessive and quite frankly a rip off ... Plus the lady owner was very unwelcoming and half way through doing my hair wandered off to chat to her local friends who had dropped in ..the lovely phillipino girls who work at the salon are scared to speak , which ironically speaks volumes !! Would definitely recommend and return but not the salon. Also had manicure and pedicure which was pretty basic . Lebanese restaurant in emirates is amazing and beach BBQ al quasr.... . overall you feel like royalty here.

Room Tip: Suites overlooking beach front if available

If you are doing a trip to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, it is well worth it to stay in the renowned Emirates Palace hotel.
Not a single thing to fault in this hotel, the arabian hospitally is ranked number 1.
I have stayed in the UAE for 6 years and visited lots of hotels in the region and this one is top notch for a good reason. Luxury and indulgance is key. Just dont forget to bring lts of money as it is not cheap.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the west wing at the back, easy access to the pool area. Hotel is large.

What a place, the moment you pull into the compound you feel like in a different world! But entering the Hotel lobby the WOW factor is even greater. Overall breathtaking public areas. The walk to the guest room can take a little while as the hotel is huge! Poo, area is a bit disappointing as well as the food at pool bar. But breakfast is amazing. Variety of choice to huge that you simply cannot make up your mind! Definitely THE place to stay while in Abu Dhabi.

Me and my husband, spend our weekend here, as we're curious about this hotel. We've experienced most of the problems that other reviewers mentioned on the terrible to average level. For example, like, the butler does not really work, whenever we need him, he's not there, so call the house keeping instead.
The inside security guard, at the main door to the back big garden of the hotel, was rude, thinking like we're not the hotel guest. It was really annoying and insulting. The house keeping, need to be called several times, until our room get done. Waiting for our car, by the vallet man, took ages, it was even more than half an hour. Anyway, was not really impressed with the service and the staff.
I would say, that this hotel is just for sight seeing, and perhaps have some coffee in the lounge with the trio live music.

Not to sure what to speak of this
The hotel is beautiful and everyone is very nice.
It is over priced but we expected that. Looking at around £50 a head for an omelette, toast, juice and tea.

What displeased us was we requested late check out 4pm and it was approved.
However no one told us that at 12pm, the keys get disabled. As a result I had to call the manager to let me back in my room to get something. The doors are pretty normal as in when you leave or enter the room, they lock as soon as the door is shut. As i left the room, I pulled it to ensure it was shut.

My partner and I spent the afternoon by the pool and upon our return found our room unlocked.
We made a complaint to the staff whom apologised and asked us to check our belongings were ok. Everything looked ok.

We made a complaint to the reception upon checkout at 4pm and other than an apology, no other compensation was provided. In fact we were asked to write on a blank piece of paper about our bad experience and were informed that we would be contacted about this.

We have received nothing.
For such a high rated hotel, I am appauled that this is how they handle their own internal mistakes that impact their paying guests.

Stayed in room 3525 for 2 nights last week and we had a marvelous time. The hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly ( thank you Bernie the pool guy). Kishor was our butler and his service was first class. He went out of his way to provide the best customer service we have ever experienced and although his duties had finished for the day he spent extra time with us talking about the hotel and showing us room options for our next stay. We are looking forward to returning but will not be eating in the Lebanese restaurant again.

We know Abu Dhabi well, having lived there for several years and been back many times since but this was our first stay at the Emirates Palace and we loved it.The place is huge and there is lots of gold and marble but the decor is tasteful. We had a Diamond room in the East Wing and it was spacious enough and very clean. All the staff are well - trained, polite and very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had no problem with the security people who were very helpful whenever we got lost!
The food and drink is expensive, we particularly liked the Etoiles restaurant but breakfast in the Vendome is probably over - priced although there is a lot of choice.Room service is excellent, the food comes in a heated container and the presentation, including a single rose, is wonderful. The pool area is lovely,as is the Spa and our 10 day stay was relaxing and really enjoyable. We look forward to returning.
