Great zoo to visit, chalets a bit basic but the views make up for it. Nice to visit zoo at all times from the resort, especially after sunset with animals wide awake.
Looking forward to returning when next in Abu Dhabi.

After reading some of the negative comments here, we arrived at the resort with no high expectations. We had been to the zoo many times, but this was the first time we had decided to try the (fairly new) resort.

Staff on arrival were welcoming and pleasant, and we were in the room in around ten minutes.

The 2-room (plus bathroom and kitchenette) chalet was spacious, and the sitting room overlooking the animals had comfortable seating for 7, around a large coffee table.

The kitchenette was equipped with microwave, fridge and kettle (with cups, glasses and coffee/tea/sugar), and a double sink. Bathroom was modern with double deluge/normal shower in glass cubicle. Plenty of hot water (after switching on the water heater).

Large comfortable bed.

Very efficient air-conditioning throughout.

We ordered dinner to eat in the room while we watched the animals through the large window (still a little warm to eat outside). Superb food arrived in the promised 20 minutes-probably better room service than any hotel I can remember! Menu is mainly Arabic food (but what would you expect!?), but also spaghettis, pastas, pizzas, and a very tasty beef stroganoff (my choice). Total cost for 4 main courses with starters AED190 ($52 approx).

Now to the highlight-the sitting room and verandah overlook the giraffe/gazelle/zebra area, and it was wonderful to sit outside in the evening, with appropriate beverages, (TAKE YOUR OWN-THE RESORT IS NOT LICENSED!!!!!), watching the animals eating, playing, and eventually sleeping.

Equally beautiful sitting drinking coffee outside, watching the animals waking up as the sun rose.

SUMMARY
A wonderful weekend, and just a short 30 minute drive from our home in Abu Dhabi. Ellie, my 9-year old daughter LOVED it, especially feeding the animals (you can buy food for the animals in the zoo), and so did we!

It was a perfect weekend getaway. The place is far from the city which makes it perfect, but to get to the resort was a trip in its self. The delux room was amazing, good space and everything necessary was in there. I was expecting to wake up to animal waste smell but believe me there was no smell. The room lacked very few basic things like a laundry bag and tooth brush and paste. One annoying thing was that there is only one reataurant in the entrie place. I would recommend to stick to the grilled stuff. But at the end of the day, it was a perfect getaway for my family and myself. I would rate it 7/10.

I recommend this hotel to those who want to be regarded as guests and not consummers. The staff, the facilities and the food are great !! Not the more recent hotel in town (there 's new hotel every month so who cares) but the best in terms of family resort.

Room Tip: I highly recommend a chalet with Zoo view

Did not ever think we would have the opportunity to spend a night at a zoo! We have two young daughters (aged 2 and 3) and they were in heaven! The hotel itself could do with some renovating, nice bedrooms but the living area was a little shoddy and the restaurant is not one I would take my daughters to as it was an open area shisha restaurant. The fact that the giraffes and Zebra's were right outside our room was enough to make up for the other minor stuff - we woke up in the morning and had a balcony all to ourselves to feed the animals close up, all by ourselves ~ what an awesome experience. Best zoo i have ever been to in this region, animals were Amazing! The staff were great too!

Very interesting place, the reception staff were very friendly and efficient. The check-in took us few minutes although it was a weekend. Overall the staff were incredibly attentive. Even the animals were extra friendly as if they know people just coming for them.

The resort was clean and the Chalet was comfortable, but in my opinion one day/night is enough to spend and roam around the whole park.

There is a restaurant to order good quality food with affordable prices.

I suggest if the management will add the following to the resort, it will be fantastic and more attractive:
- Swimming pool.
- Spa for Ladies.
- Small Play area for the kids (where the chalet).

Room Tip: Book a room overlooking the Giraffe (it cost more, but worth it)
