Beach Rotana is a 5 star hotel, positioned right in the heart of Abu Dhabi and connetced to the large Abu Dhabi mall so shopping is easy from 10am to 10pm.
My wife, daughter (20) and I stayed in the Beach Wing for 8 nights at the begining of April, we arrived at midnight and shown to our rooms and were woken at 6.30am by the very loud building work next door, when you check make sure you are not facing the building site as this will spoil your holiday. We were moved the next morning to a quiet rooms on the third floor 303 and 305 with no view but peace perfect peace all the rooms are the same in the Beach Wing and we had no complaints.
The hotel is a business hotel but the pool and beach areas are good and the loungers are very comfortable, but get up a little earlier on Thursday and Friday for you favourite place around the pool as these are their weekend and the locals pay to enter the hotel beach and pool areas.
Food in the hotel is fantastic from breakfast, thru to the Italian serving great pasta and pizza to Trader Vics steaks etc. and around the same prices as the UK alcohol is more expensive £3 bottle bud and £20 for wine. Don't use the hotel taxis they are a rip off use the white and gold taxis they are less than half the price.
All in all we had a great time but 5 nights would probably been enough for me but the girls would have stayed longer.
Enjoy you holiday we did !!!!!

We have stayed on March 23rd 2007 in that hotel. The Beach Rotana enjoys a magnificent resort location within the city. Arrival experience was ok, as they do not have lots of staff, we had to drag our bag inside, as doorman mentions that he has to keep an eye on the door.

Impressive lobby, lots of artwork and warm colors, check in experience was good, we had a personal welcome from one of their managers who forgot to introduce his name and postion, other than that was ok.

Were escorted to our room from one of their staff, who explained us the lcoation of the hotel in the city, the function of the room, and things to do in Abu Dhabi.

We stayed in their standard room that is really nice for their first category and had a complimentary fruit basket upon arrival.

The pool is lovely, and the tiny beach access is fine.

Restaurants were not a great experience....Had lunch in the italian restaurant, although food is great, staff were a bit knowledge less especially about wine list and explanations of the dishes. Sit on the terrace, great place overlooking beach.

Next day, we went to their breakfast room at 10.15 AM, and were inform directly that there will remove the buffet in 15mn before being greetings....sounds a bit rude for 5-star hotel. The scene was amazing that at 10.31 am, majority of their staff were taking way items (cereals, cookies, croissants, yogurt) to respect their strict timing.

Overall I would say this is good hotel for Abu Dhabi, we enjoy our rooms experience. For outlets purpose, I would avoid concentrating on staff mistakes, as there are all over the UAE, and would remain with the food quality.

Tips: check their hotel rate website as I have paid a B&B package rate of 700AED for that weekend stays.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel twice now and would not stay anywhere else if we were in Abu Dhabi again.
This time we booked a club room in the tower block for 7 nights with access to the club lounge which we found most convenient for breakfast , afternoon tea with delicious fresh sandwiches, their cocktail hour from 7pm untill 10pm with canapes and ample alcoholic drinks available.
I would not recommend anyone to stay in the Beach Wing as there is a massive construction site next door, no problem with noise in the tower block.
We found the staff everywhere in the hotel friendly and helpful and the security around the hotel made one feel very safe.
We thought that some of the restaurants were very expensive except for Prego's and the German restaurant that served quality beers. We did not eat in Rosebuds as we don't like buffets .
The swimming pool was excellent with plenty of shade if you needed it. The view is not that great but this did not bother us as we knew what to expect on our second visit to this hotel.
We enjoyed shopping in the mall that ajoins the hotel and managed to pick up a few bargains. The new Marina mall a short ride away in a taxi is incredible.
Their is a taxi rank to the right as you leave the front of the hotel outside the shopping mall. The hotel taxi costs about 3 times as much for the same journey as a local taxi which are very cheap.
My wife and I are looking forward to going to the UAE again next year but will visit a different part of the country next time

Beach Rotana is an excellent choice for easy family holiday. We were there 6 nights seeking for peace, sun and relaxation.

Our travel agent suggested Club room, but there at Abu Dhabi we were told that kids are nor allowed to enter club lounge. On the other hand there's a massive construction work going on next to beach wing, so book room at tower room but not in club floors if you are travelling with kids.

In the resort are is also ongoing renowation work; the old night club L.A.B. is gonna be luxurious spa very soon.

Hotel grounds are very clean, garden excellent, staff friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for families with small kids.

really the hotel is clean and seem to be in the central of abu dhabi but actually all the hotel in au dhabi are centrally located as abu dhabi is not a huge city, but the problem you will face is their service as it is very bad and compared to a 1 star hotel,no body in the hotel will try to help you if you are inneed for anything..i have stayed in a group and everyone of us has many problem and we had stayed for 5 days..and imagine what five of my friends including me got a food poisoning and went to the hospital because of the food there and the hotel staff told us that it is probably an allergy to the food: which is not logic at all and after all that you will pay the highest rate in abu dhabi..

We have just returned from our 2nd visit to this hotel (see my first review Feb 06). As before we booked a Premium Tower room and we feel that this category is worth a few extra pounds. With the Superior Beach Wing rooms 50% of them will now have views of the new construction site next to the hotel.
As with our previous visit we were very impressed with the quality of service and rooms standards.
The hotel was fully booked as people were arriving for the IDEX exhibition, however, at no stage did we have any problem getting a sunbed around the pool or beach areas.
A previous reviewer recommended joining the Rotana Rewards Club and we are pleased that we followed his recommendation. Joining costs 700 dirams (£100 approx) and you get great savings on meals and 15% discount on drinks purchased with meals. It also guarantees you a late check-out upto 18.00 (a must if you have the early hours UK return flight) Overall we saved 900 dirams (£128) on food and drink in 6 nights plus a late check-out would normally cost £50 to £70. So the card easily paid for itself and is valid for a year at any Rotana hotel.
We enjoyed our 2nd visit and would recommend the Beach Rotana.

My husband and I stayed at the Rotana Hotel for 4 nights in mid February. I read previous reviews and had mixed feelings about booking a room there. We were coming to friends' wedding and as the party was taking place at the hotel, we finally decided to stay there along with other guests. It was a nice surprise when we arrived and checked in. It is true that Club Rotana rooms are great - a decent size bedroom and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a separate shower cabin. The Elemis vanity kit is also a nice treat. The seaview, however, is not impressive with the oil platforms on the horizon and a construction site nearby. I also agree with remarks about the paper thin walls. We could hear our neighbour in the mornings talking on the phone. But at least, the rooms are cleaned up twice a day and you get a complimentary fruit plater in the afternoon.

We had free access to the Club Lounge and enjoyed a good choice of food for breakfast as well as afternoon tea and evening canapes and a cocktail hour (19.00 to 22.00). The staff were very attentive and would serve us breakfast with a smile even when we came a bit late on one occasion. They also let us stay after 10 PM to finish off a drink.

We ate at the hotel only once in the evening when Rosebuds served Mexican food. It was a buffet and had a reasonable selection of hot and cold dishes. Other restaurants get very busy and it's hard to get a table even for two.

The hotel is in a very good location. You can walk from the lobby to the Abu Dhabi Mall. We often had lunch at the Food Court. Very good value for money. If you want to go out and explore, it only takes few minutes in a taxi to go to the waterfront and the Marina Mall.

The wedding reception at the hotel was fantastic. The ballroom was beautifully decorated and the staff tried to keep invisible not to distract the guests.

Overall, we really liked this hotel and would be happy to come back.
