“Authentic indian food served here!”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

We love dining in Foodlands with family and friends especially for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries etc.. We even conducted my son's birthday party here and it was arranged quite well by them. The decorations with balloons were done perfectly. The party hall is good enough to accomodate a lot of people.
We specially love the dahi vadas, the kebabs, the butter chicken and paneer butter masala here. It is one of the best indian restaurants in Abu dhabi.
The prices are reasonable as well.
The buffet selections are amazing and it has a lot of variety too.

“Best Indian restaurant for quality food at affordable price”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

Foodlands restaurant on airport road in Abu Dhabi is liked by not only Indians but also expats of other countries and locals. Late evenings are preferred by locals as they come in big groups to taste Indian food with extra spice. We had Indian and Chinese food and both were very tasty and good portions per serve. Chicken Hakka Noodles and Chilly chicken are must not miss dishes. The prices also are very reasonable. Only problem is with car parking. Very hard to find a parking in front side. So try to get your parking at the back side area.

“Though the Ambience good... The Food is below average...”
Reviewed February 23, 2012

Have visited Foodland couple of times and every time I have been slightly disappointed with the kind of food is being served here. The Chicken in the Butter Chicken was way too rigid and gave us the feeling of being a stale one (even before this visit, we got the same feeling with a chicken dish). The waiters who appear to be very professional with neatly dressed and a dairy to make note of the orders have completely forgotten what a “Smile” is, which is really disappointing. Though the guys who clean the table and serve water are really gud. And, to top it all its kind of costly as compared to the other restaurant. It’s ok to pay more money when the food and service is gud, but here it’s just kind of worthless

The only good part is, it is a big Restaurant with a good ambience, but, the restaurant needs to improve on the food quality and a bit of training to the waiter.

“No taste. So ordinary”
Reviewed January 20, 2012

In my view this is probably the only Indian restaurant that doesn’t know how to cook Indian Fish Masala. Visited with family for lunch in December 2011. Ordered some rice, Fish Masala and few other items. I have never seen anyone using battered fish pieces in an Indian style fish curry/masala. The dish tasted bland with no authentic taste. It was a huge disappointment. I even asked the waiter to justify their style of fish masala and he revealed that they don’t use fresh fish for the curry but the frozen stuff to make the dish. That said it all. In Abu Dhabi, where one can easily get varieties of fresh fish from fish markets and hypermarkets, this claim by the waiter sounded like what a fast food place normally does.

The other dishes we ordered were also of average taste and nothing required any special mention here. There was a lunch time buffet for 60 AED per person at that time and may be we should have tried that but thought for that price we could enjoy few things that we wanted to have but that was a huge mistake.

Never to this place ever again. There are plenty of other tasty eateries in Abu Dhabi to go to.
