I just used only spa during my transit hours.
Spa at any Hyatt hotel is excellent according to my experience.

Actually the gentleman was did massage for this time, but he was very professional and wasn't any awkward. After the massage, my skin was totally soften and smooth.
If I have a chance, I'd like to use the bar at the top. The view would be great!

Hotel building fantastic
Bedroom beautiful
If all you go to a hotel for is the building and room this is perfect for you. If you book a weekend break or holiday and expect helpful friendly staff during your stay, this is NOT the hotel for you.
Check in and welcome awful!!!
Baggage delivery to bedroom expect 45-60 minute wait at least.
Check out with a smile, ummm I think she missed charm school.

My husband booked this hotel for a surprise for my birthday and we where let down from the start. Unfriendly staff on reception and bar area, everything seemed a hassle for them, being made to feel you have stolen from the rooms mini bar when in fact you haven't touched anything from there. Disappointing spa area and staff don't appear to be knowledgable.

However it is close to tourist attractions and not to far from Ferrari world.
Would I stay there again no!

Arrived very late at night, and the reception staff were more than happy to speed up checkin so we could get down to dinner (this is reciprocated throughout the hotel, where the staff are all brilliant).

Rooms were FANTASTIC; spacious, clean, lovely view, quiet, great facilities and the beds were excellent.

However the dinner restaurant was a let down. The menu was very limited, and so overpriced. The only saving grace was the kids menu.

The pool and gym were fine, well equipped and the free water was great. Although the pool deck was perhaps a little small.

Overall a great hotel, almost impeccable except the location and food

Room Tip: Dinner restaurant (18 degrees) was overpriced.

Dear Sammie

Thank you for staying with us at the Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi, I am pleased to read that overall you have enjoyed your stay with us.

The menu of our '18 Degree' features a wide selection of Mediterranean cuisines, I would therefore I regret if you found the selection limited.

Indeed the pool is somewhat limited in size, yet convincing with its infinity shape and location on the 19th floor overlooking Abu Dhabi at its best.

It would be a pleasure to welcoming you back to our hotel in the future and to be again of your assistance.

Sincerely and with best wishes for the New Year.

Stayed here for 4 nights in December 2013 (27-31st). Booked twin room via travel agents in mid December. Due to a mix up with the booking - there were no twin rooms available on arrival as the hotel was fully booked out! The night duty manager - Vebhav - was exceptionally helpful, professional and keen to sort out the mix up quickly. We were provided with a king room for the first night with an extra bed and Vebhav without persuasion acknowledged the inconvenience caused to us and put matters right for the rest of our stay - we were upgraded to a Deluxe twin room for 3 nights and also given complimentary wi fi access (usually 30-55 AED per 24 hour). You couldn't ask for better customer service and our stay couldn't have been more enjoyable. Kinechi (assistant manager) and Antonio on the front desk also looked after us the next day and made sure we got our upgrade and helped with our luggage!

The hotel is very modern, clean and comfortable, having only opened 16 months or so ago. Rooms are very well designed and equipped with great modern rain showers or lovely deep baths- our bathroom (room 3204 on 32nd floor) overlooked a lovely city scape view. Beds were also really comfy with thicker than average mattresses. Fresh fruit and complimentary water was replenished daily.

We used the Rayana spa on the 19th floor for the gym and swimming facilities every morning. The swimming pool is small but has amazing views. Spa Staff were so welcoming and really proud and helpful to show off all the facilities. Melanie, Wendy and Helen are all fantastic staff. On learning that we would be visiting the Hyatt in Berlin in March - Melanie who is German and had worked at the Berlin Hyatt kindly prepared and provided a typed out itinerary for us with tips about what to do and see in Berlin and gave us names of her ex colleagues to contact. Nothing was too much trouble for the spa trio! We were also lucky to benefit from one of the gym trainers- Wendell - who was happy to not only show us how to use the gym equipment but also acted as a personal trainer and provided fantastic 30 minute assisted stretching exercises at the end of our gym session! Completely beyond the call of duty! Anywhere else that would have come as an extra cost!

The gym changing facilities were as you'd expect very clean and modern, with lockers (no annoying coins required as set by 4 digit codes), white robes, towels, slippers, complimentary bottled water, hairdryers, steam room all available for hotel guests to use free of charge.

The hotel itself is located from the 18th floor up. The ground floor has coffee and profiterole shops and the remaining floors are offices. There is a restaurant on the 18th floor which also serves as the breakfast area. We ate at the restaurant on the first night, while food is of high quality, it was a bit pricey - about £35-£50 per head. Dining areas had great views over the city side and water inlets. For a huge choice of restaurants, head to Mushriff Mall on 2nd street - about 10 mins in a taxi from the hotel/costing only 10-12AED.

Breakfast itself was also great, there is a stove area where you can order food cooked to your own requirements or there are plenty of self service options also available. Good selection of fruits, pastries, juices were on offer every morning as well as a cheese board selection. Again staff in the dining team were all very highly trained and professional and really looked after guests, providing table service if required. Alexandru, Cyrus and Shella all served us on various days and were really friendly and helpful.

The best thing about this hotel is the level of guest and customer service on offer. So glad we booked this hotel and great first start on our mini adventure eastwards - hope our next two hotels in Ho Chi Minh City and KL are half as good!

SH

PS. The only downside - which really wasn't much of a downside is the location; it takes about 15/20 minutes in a taxi to get to central areas such as the Marina Mall. However, given the taxis only cost about 30AED/£6, it wasn't at all prohibitive. Some of the other hotels on Yas Island are a further 10/15 minutes away from the Marina Mall, which really would have cost us a small fortune in taxis!

Stayed there for the two day conference, the hotel starts from the 18th floor upwards with magnificent view over the city..very posh exterior and interior design, friendly, young and attentive staff thoughout.
Beakfast buffet in the morning with a wide spread. Rooms very spacios and high tech, special focus on the bedding...slept like a rock, which is essential to me as a frequent traveler..The hotel a a bit outside the city center but right at the door step of the exhibition cetner and about a 10 minute taxi drive to downtown.
Will definitel be back next time.

We stayed at the Capital gate in early September this year. The building is as stunning in real life as it is in the pics. There was a fair amount of waiting at the reception and the staff took quite a while to get around to us. We had our little daughter of 3months with us and waiting was extremely inconvenient esp since the toilets are not at the lobby level.
But it was smooth sailing after the check in. The manager on duty apologized for the inconvenience and made up by offering us a bottle of wine(much appreciated). The room is convenient although a bit dark and on the heavy side. The spacious bathroom is beautiful done with a standalone tub that sat in front of the glass facade offering up great views! The amenities were upto the expected standards of Hyatt.
The breakfast was great with quite a nice spread. The general service was good and the staff was attentive. All in all, a good city hotel.
