I was very dubious about visiting this attraction as if you are located in Dubai; it’s a considerable cost and waste of time if it does not work out. I had read some scathing reports from other TA users, so had decided not to go. However, my 10 year old son had other ideas, so we said “let’s go and find out for ourselves”.

I will point out that we went on the day of the qualifying for the F1 GP, so the venue was not busy. All the rides were open and he we had a great day. The fast roller coaster ride is simply amazing. Worth the entrance fee alone. Having visited theme parks in California and Florida, my son has never had a better time.

For motor sports enthusiasts, the venue is good but not great. Some great cars on show, but not enough is made of the history or Le Mans. It’s a shame really, as while it is a spectacular venue and executed very well, it does not have the real passion you would expect. Needs some real Italian influence I would say.

But if you’re thinking of going, GO!!!!, but pay up for a fast pass wrist band is my advice.

There are many reviews that say Ferrari world is not worth a visit. But I assure u that all those reviews are to be ignored. A very nice amusement park. Lots of rides and has many attractions. The fastest roller coaster is mind blowing. Helicopter ride over Italy is also superb. Air conditioning inside the park is extremely efficiently and u may feel cold.

Day trip to Abu Dhabi from Dubai is a good idea. You can cover Ferrari world and Sheikh Zayed mosque in one day. Both places are not to be missed. But it is going to be an expensive day out.

For car nuts mainly but a good afternoon out - caters for young children and teenagers - would have liked a go kart circuit for the adults like they have for the children - however this is being built at present. Rossa roller-coaster is not for everyone it is the fastest in the world and it feels like it. All 4 grown adults said "we have done it not going on that again ! " It pulls 4g on take off, 5g will knock you out. Has to be done once but it is scary. Racing coaster is fun and it is a bit quieter as everyone is queuing for rossa. Interesting exhibits about Ferrari although they are rides they take you through the story of the cars. Enjoyable but one for the car enthusiasts.

We had no intention of visiting here since it has received mixed reviews and the entrance fee was high. We went to the entrance and the gift shop, then caught the shuttle bus to elsewhere on Yas Island. Then in the afternoon, the kids got too hot walking around and so we decided to plunge in and pay the money, really for something indoors to do that didn't involve eating.
We were very glad we did. We even ended up going on the Formula Rossa. Once in the park, you kind of get caught up in the moment.
We were so lucky - we visited on the practice day of the F1 Grand Prix, and so the park was very quiet. We queued for 45 mins for the Formula Rossa, but the longest we queued for the other rides was 14 minutes. As it got to 5pm we didn't queue at all!
There are 6 sit down eating places of various levels- self serve to table service restaurants. There are also loads of kiosks situated throughout.
The park is really a museum - a lot of the rides are educational too and tell about the history of racing and Ferraris. I wasn't all that interested in all the cars that were on show but I'm sure enthusiasts would love them.
The Formula Rossa was very scary indeed - I went on it only by persuading myself that however bad it is, it's only for one and a quarter minutes. Well it was the scariest one and a quarter minutes of my life!! You can watch the ride from a look out point and it didn't seem that bad but it really is!
In all I am really glad we ended up there. We didn't cover it all but that was our choice - we could have gone on each ride more than once since the queues were so short.
The Ferrari store is also worth a visit - you can enter this without having to pay for park entry (of course!)
