“A mass-produced but top quality hotel”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

Stayed for a few short nights on a business trip. The hotel is one of the large ones in Abu Dhabi and there's definitely a sense of mass production, but the staff are very helpful, the hotel and rooms are exceptionally clean and well-furnished (although I did have wifi connectivity issues), and the quality of meals etc are great.

The location is in the centre of town, with a big mall next door and plenty of taxis as you step outside.

Room Tip: Rooms near the top have very good views

All in all this was a good hotel - good location, the rooms were spacious and well equipped (although if your staying for a number of days then the lack of storage is an issue) and the breakfast was excellent. However the service let the hotel badly - on 3 specific occasions.
1. On day 2 the Receptionist (concierge was too busy) recommended we visit the Grand Mosque - on a Friday!!!.
2. On departure I checked under the bed to see if i had left anything and there were items there that should not have been there (disgusting!). I completed the complaint form and handed it to the receptionist at check out, he quickly folded it and placed it in his pocket and said he would deal with it.......... I knew then that the form would never see the light of day again, but I was not going to cause a scene.
3. we were transferring to Dubai and asked the concierge to arrange a taxi, he insisted we would be better with a private car, we accepted his advise but was immediately disappointed with the car and the driver, we had been in better taxi's. The ride was ok but the driver did not have a clue where Dubai Marina was and we had to assist with 'maps' on our phones...... he then charged in excess of what we had been informed.......
I would not discourage you from using this hotel, but just beware.

Attached to Al-Wahda mall where you can find several popular restaurants
Internet conection should be free

Room Tip: Gym at floor 2 Pool at floor 31 Nice views from the upper floors but the lift is a bit slow

i recently stayed at this hotel as i had a event in one of their meeting rooms..
upon arrival the hotel were kind enough to upgrade me which i thought was very nice :)..but i preferred the standard deluxe rooms compared to the apartment so i downgraded!
the room i stayed in was very nice.. bed was very comfortable. i got so attached to the room that even though it was only 3 days, it be came like home. thats how welcoming and comfortable the room was
the all day dining food was great. food was delicious at the al wahda restaurant and i ordered food off of room service and that was delicious too..
hotel facilities were brilliant. i loved the gym.
i thought the hotel staff were really friendly (Lama was great help when it came to helping me out during the event). they were fast to assist you with any request,
location wise, a mall next door so if you like your shopping this hotel comes in handy..
hotel outlets, you got a classy Italian piano bar/restaurant with outdoor seating and shisha to an English sports bar with a live band...both very nice outlets

now only issue, the INTERNET. the internet was so on and off. apparently there was an issue with Etisalat but with limited internet it was hard to do any of my work..Note: if your going to ask for the internet double check with the hotel that its actually working!

apart from that, ill come back..but only for BUSINESS.

Lovely 5 star hotel in the heart of the city centre in Abu Dhabi. Immaculately presented with great facilities. If you like the gym they have a great gym with lots of equipment. Plenty of choices of restaurant including Italian, pub, buffet, Thai reasonably priced. Lots of choice at breakfast and all very good quality.

This is a large hotel so during busy times we had to wait for up to 10 minutes for a lift. The rooftop pool is great, although the outside pool areas are partly covered so there are limited areas to relax in the sun.

Rooms are great. Lack of plug sockets near mirrors though it a slight oversite.

I cannot fault the service. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you.

Would definitely stay again.

I have stayed here many times due to its location close to where I work. The service has continually imporved, and with Porters pub and an alchohol licence, this hotel is often fully booked now. They are still 'family focussed' (which I understand to mean they enjoy kids screaming up and down the corridors 24/7) and don't relly 'get-it' with business travellers. If you are a large family with screaming kids, go for it. If you want a nights sleep becuase you need to work the next day, then you may be dissapointed.

Room Tip: If you want sleep, insist on a room looking inwards over an atrium. These have no view, and are smal...
