Had Ushna on our list of must visits for a while, finally got there last friday for lunch.....very dissapointed, nice restaurant, good views, food was on the bland side, our starter was cold which I did wonder should it have been.....after having the same starter elsewhere since, obviously it should have been hot. The staff are very friendly, but the atmosphere of the whole place is non existant. I have read that this restaurant is child free....first thing we saw on arrival was high chairs so hardly child free, this was not one of the reasons we chose to come here as we have children of our own (grown up now) as long as children behave in restaurants I have no problem, but just to warn anyone who is coming here for the no children policy, you would be in for ashock, there where more children in Ushna than any other restaurant we have been to in Abu Dhabi, so very strange to read they have a child free policy.
The food and wine is very expensive, way over the top for the wine. We will stick with other Indian restaurants in the city in future.
