“Top Restaurant with high-class food and super service”

We loved this restaurant because of its delicious food (we ate there three times!), the cozy atmosphere, the professional and extremely friendly table service - especially Mrs. Eka was very attentative and talkative but never intruding too much - and the fact that you could smoke in a designated area. The Lemon Tree was a highlight in our four weeks Asia trip and is among the top five of all restaurants we ate at during our many journeys in the last years.

Staff are great, wide variety of mediterain foods. But the pizza is the one to try.

“Loved the Lemon Tree”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2010

I recently went to dinner with a friend at the Lemon Tree restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant on the ground floor of the four-star Holiday Inn. On arrival there are plenty of spaces in the car park right beside the hotel.
The menu consists of mostly Italian style dishes including pizza and pasta. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The Syrian executive chef used to work at Pappagallo the Italian restaurant at Le Meridien.
After taking our time over the menu and considering the set menu options, we settled for a la carte and the ‘verdure’ minestrone soup followed by pizza. The soup was a clear vegetable soup with chunky vegetables and pasta. The bread portion was rather mean with only two pieces each. The pizzas were tasty, flat and crispy. And the mint tea and espresso coffee after our meal were also nice. The food quality was very good.
The service was also good and thankfully the water was left for us to pour ourselves. The atmosphere was friendly with a quiet background buzz. Tables are well spaced and upholstered seating comfortable with arm chairs or bench seating. This is the sort of place you could come as a couple or with a family. In winter the outdoor seating is available. Prices are reasonable. The soup cost 28 Dhs each ++, pizza 40 Dhs each ++. In one of the 5 star hotels at the other end of town you could easily pay 50% more. The total bill including service and tourism fee came to a little over 100 Dhs each. It was quiet on a Tuesday night (ladies' night in the bar upstairs). It deserves to be more popular. Recommended.
