“Great hotel, room, staff and food”
Reviewed February 2, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for two nights in January 2013. Firstly the pickup from the airport was seamless and we were whisked away to the hotel. Our plane was delayed and we arrived a few hours later than expected. The check in was perfect (thank you Aung) and we had an Executive Suite (so large) with Club Lounge privileges. We were so hungry but were still able to get room service which was delicious. At the Club Lounge the following morning we were greeted like long lost friends as they were concerned we were so late the night before. The breakfast was more than sufficient and had more than enough food and variety. We ate at the restaurant for our second night and the food was delicious. Our waiter was also very attentive and provided great service. Customer service is exemplary at Traders, nothing is too much trouble. Make sure you fill out the "delight" cards to thank those who provide exceptional service.

My friend and I stayed here just the one night, but we crammed so much in to such a short period of time. There is so much to do in this small area of Abu Dhabi. There's fine dining, beaches, souks, restuarants and lots of shopping! I would definitely stay there again. Great staff, rooms and location.

Room Tip: Choose a room that overlooks thewater to the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a Traders premier room. This hotel is only 4 stars but i have stayed in worse 5* properties! The staff were all very helpful , everywhere was sparkling and the breakfast choice was excellent - even more so in the Traders lounge. The location is perfect for the mosque (a must see!) but maybe away from all other attractions... The Shangri la hotel is next door were you can use there spa and restaurants which we did and were not dissapointed!
If i were to visit Abu Dhabi again then i would certainly stay here again!

Room Tip: Stay in the premier rooms which include the premier lounge with cocktails!

Stayed at the Traders Abu Dhabi for 2 nights (1 day) The trip from the airport by taxi was very cheap (I recommend the government run taxi's - they are very clean and reliable, metered and quite cheap) It cost approximately 40 AED to get to the hotel. Late night check in was speedy, friendly, and efficient. The room was modern and clean.

The breakfast was a pleasant surprise - as a non egg eater there were plenty of other options to pick from including curry's and foods you would expect to find at dinner.

The pool and beach area were ok - it is winter currently so were quite empty and lacking atmosphere.

The hotel is in very close proximity to the highlight of Abu Dhabi - The Grand Mosque. An absolutely stunning building that was a 20 AED taxi ride away.

Overall a very easy, friendly, and accessible hotel for a short trip in Abu Dhabi. Keep in mind it is quite far from the city centre of Abu Dhabi.

Hotel is in perfect condition. Design is just like I like, modern. Rooms are quiet, and spacious. Beds are just perfect. Service is really outstanding. Best I experienced so far. Breakfast is just fine, fresh juices really nice..

Surrounding is charming, Close to the hotel there is a small shopping centre called The SOUK At Qaryat Al Beri'' Among rather posh shops, there are pubs and restaurants..

If it just would be closer to the centre...

Room Tip: With view on the beach and temple. Room I experienced was just perfect..

We booked this hotel over several higher rated establishments as a result of reviews here. Well I can only add my own accolades. This is simply an exceptional hotel even by Middle East standards. We had heeded the advice on TA and booked a Traders standard room which came with the Traders lounge and all day refreshments, complimentary breakfast and drinks and canapes in the evening, an essential if you are staying here. Our "sea view" room was a little disappointing as we had to crane our necks to view the sea so we did splash out on an executive suite. This was a simply fabulous room equipped to an unbelievable standard including a re-chargeable torch(!) office supplies (including a stapler) indeed absolutely everything you could think of and then some. I am struggling to avoid overusing the adjective exceptional but it is difficult. Don showed us to our new room personally, supervised the again exceptional Traders staff etc etc. We arrived at 8.00am and there was no question of our not being immediately checked into our room followed by a telephone call offering us complimentary breakfast "if we were not too tired" The room itself had a proper sea view, spacious immaculately equipped bathroom, superlative shower, contemporary furnishings and super comfortable bed. Lighting either ambient or task orientated was also very good. Two small things detracted only if you were staying for several days; the pool is small and on the first floor. The beach itself is private, small but very quiet when we visited though we were told it had been very overcrowded over the New Year period. Secondly there is only one restaurant with quite a varied menu but a little utilitarion though the outside space is nice. The food on both occasions we ate was very good. The souk joining Traders to the Shangri La widens the eating choice and of course there is the Shangri La which we did not eat in. The Shangri La itself is suitability opulent but not really as ideal as Traders for a relaxing break. The gym is, as others have commented very well equipped and adjoins the pool.
Overall I really am struggling to fault this hotel, we have stayed all over the Emirates at some very highly rated hotels and my particular favourite in Oman but this is right up there with some top notch establishments in terms of facilities and service.

Room Tip: Do not go unless you can book a Traders room. The opposite side of the hotel to the Shangi La overlo...
