An architectural marvel made of white marble and beautifully carved out interiors with multi colored marbles are a true visual treat. Different parts of the mosque have been made from materials and styles from various countries. The ambience adds to the spiritual pleasure you gain at this place. Women are required to wear pardha to enter the mosque and keep their hair covered. The domes, carpet, chandeliers, artistic designs are truly marvelous. The carpet, the largest hand woven carpet in the world was a 2 year project; and the seven chandeliers that adorn the prayer hall are astounding. Website http://www.szgmc.ae/en/

A mosque that took ten years to build, and it was worth it. There is a large marble floored area before entering the building, and there are over eighty domes across the building. Take the camera with you as there are plenty of photos to take, however check the prayer call timetable as security will close the building a few minutes prior to each prayer call. It is not far out of the city centre and can be seen on nearby motorways as lights flash upon each dome. Prepare to be amazed.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The tour was great, but you must get there by 10:00AM to receive the formal tour. The young lady we had was fantastic, gracious and very informative. be ready to take your shoes off before entering the Mosque and do not step on the color tiles.

Its architecturally and aesthetically stunning both inside and out. Its clean and tranquil.
A genuine must visit for both believers and non believers of the faith.

Ladies dress appropriately - wear a long skirt or trousers, take a cardigan to wear over your tank top. I was privy to a lady being turned away because she was wearing a knee length skirt - irrespective of the fact that you get given an abaya.

If visiting the mosque independently make sure you are aware of opening hours and prayer times. Its free entry and there are tour guides offering complimentary tours lasting up to an hour.

If you are in Abu Dhabi for a few days you will end up visiting this mosque but actually it is well worth the visit. Stunningly large and beautiful with lots of "the biggest" in it. We hopped off the Big Bus and spent a very pleasant couple of hours in the mosque.
