It is well worth a visit to the Mosque, staying in some of the larger resorts you are quite cut off from the outside world and it is nice to experience some of the regions culture and heritage and get out of the hotel for a few hours. The architecture is amazing and the detail in the finishing really is a sight to behold. Dont forget to be well covered up though, women must wear loose clothing and have from ankles to shoulders covered and also scarf for head. They will provide you with a cover up at the entrance if they feel you are not covered enough.

In this place you can visit the remarkable Masjed in UAE, where the founder of UAE, Sheikh Zayed buried. The place is amazing and contains the most expensive crystals as well as carpet. It is recommended to wear a descent dress, otherwise there is dresses can be borrowed for free. If you are Muslim, it is better to do Masjed prayer. Usually it is closed before prayer time 30 min.

The Sheikh Zayed Mosque hits you for the sheer grandeur and the large scale monumnet, wonderfully sculptured and enamelled and huge magnificent Chandeliers. A must visit, if you are visiting UAE .

Beautiful beautiful place. Very busy when we went and not so well managed. They are very strict with being covered up - no flesh showing and head also needs to be covered for women. You can borrow abaya's but the queues for them were very long so go already covered to save time on the busy days.

This is a must if you visit the UAE. The buildings are beautifully elegant and open for visitors to walk around. The inside of the mosque is take your breath away beautiful. The muted colors and nature themed rooms are amazing. The flowers made from rocks and the paintings are exquisite. It is a must see.

Women need to wear very modest clothing when visiting. Upon arrival, you will be given a balck abaya and head scarf to cover up. As you enter the mosque, you will take your shoes off. The feeling inside the mosque is that if reverence and peace.

As a Westerner, I was a bit afraid to visit a mosque. If you feel the same way, let this fear go. The workers are very friendly and welcoming. Bring your camera as you can snap every thing you see. You are welcome to take pics in the buildings. Visit the Grand Mosque. It is an ax pertinence you will treasure and it is free!
