“beautiful, full of history and alot of good purchases”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

really cheap no matter how much they try and put a price on tourists, if you visit damascus you got to visit this shopping place as its the oldest shopping place in syria and you must try the drinks that people wearing costumes are selling called 'tamir hindi'. A nice traditional place to visit for the locals and tourists will find alot to buy.

“The souk is perfect to purchase all your goods from silk to gold”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

The people who own shops inthe Souk are so helpful. I purchased ancient tiles and had them framed. I purchased a Solid Silver Bird of Prey hand made in Damascus. Lots of wooden goods hand made while you watch in Bab Touma

“My first Souq experience - All others are now based on this benchmark”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Walking through what must have been 2+ miles of shops, the atmosphere in the souq is absolutely electric!!!!

People from all over the world are in the souq, and shopping, socializing, eating, and gathering. Everyone fits in very well with one another and with no trouble whatsoever. A Truly remarkable experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.
