Another magnificent hotel in old Damascus. I stayed in this hotel for two nights. The famous Syrian hospitality is fully practiced here. It felt like home. Staff were all helpful and friendly. You also receive in your room complimentary fruit basket, water, and a complimentary box of the excellent (and expensive) Syrian Ghraoui chocolates.
My room rate included Syrian and continental breakfast as well as dinner (which I missed on both nights, 'cause there are way too many good restaurants in old Damascus to miss!). Breakfast was very good. Fresh Falafel and Fatte dishes are made to order and brought to your table from the neighborhood's shop making Syrian breakfast.
The rooms and courtyard came with free wifi internet. Guests were sipping complimentary tea and coffee in the afternoon while checking their emails and socializing in the afternoon. I was in Damascus during a heatwave but never felt it in the hotel with the good ACs and the cool courtyard.
Location is excellent for walking around old Damascus. Very quite rooms too. The only downside was the small bathroom in my room.More
