“Very nice hotel”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

Stay was very pleasant. Rooms were nice and clean. Food were good with nice spreads.

Overall nice atmosphere - location is also fine.

Very suitable for a business trip stay. Will recommend friends and relatives.

Stayed here in March during a business trip. we also used the conference facility's to hold a seminar.
The rooms are quite large and well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful.
There was one major problem in that I booked a car to the airport for 0730 however I then received a phone call at 0515 telling me my car was waiting so was not very happy at that time and although the staff were apologetic I got the impression they were not at all bothered by the mistake they made!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of the hotel above the reception area if possible as the other end on th...

This is a well situated hotel. The rooms are nice a spacious but with small windows which somehow brings the overall impression of the room down. The food is above average. Unfortunately, you can not have a glass of wine with your meal.

This hotel is average in all aspects. Location is ok. Somebody on tripadvisor said that the neighborhood is a guetto. I don't agree. It's a friendly area with a lot of cozy restaurants.
The smoking section in the restaurant should be abolished. The staff in the reception should be better trained. I had to check out twice. I was stopped on my way out and asked to check out again...
My room on the first floor was a little bit gloomy but spacious and clean. I had the view on the side street so it was quiet. Downside is that I was next to the conference rooms and the smell of cigarette made it very unpleasant.
All in all, an average hotel. I won't be coming back.
Internet is slow like you woudn't believe. You won't be working remotely from this hotel, I can guarantee that.

Stayed there on a business trip.
The entrance and common areas are nice; especially the atrium.
Rooms are OK for the region's standards. Rather spacious, good bed. The bathroom is a bit old fashioned in terms of style.
Breakfast was good with a good choice of almost everything.

I am going to rate as terrible this hotel in terms of cleanliness; and not for its interiors but for one very specific reason: there is unbelievable pigeon dirt from feathers and droppings just outside the windows of the rooms. It is a health hazard. If for any reason you open the window all this dirt comes in. I had to change room twice in order to find one without pigeons sitting outside its window. The management seemed to be aware of the issue but did not do anything about it. By the way, this is one of the main reasons I asked my company not to book rooms there any more.

Room Tip: Be aware that there are rooms with windows "occupied" by pigeons

Hotel needs drastic improvements in service levels and amenities provided:

The problem is not with the staff, they were all nice and polite, the issue is with the lack of training on how to handle operation challenges and the do not care attitude of some of the staff by moving the problems to others.

1. It is my 4th stay at the Millennium Hotel Doha in a span of 18 months and up to now they still ask me at check in for all my contact details and I tell them you should by now have them in the system and got no valid answer.
2. They do not take a credit card imprint for extra charges at check-in, therefore every time, I ordered Room Service or had breakfast the staff was running after me to pay without posting it to the room with no suggestion from any staff member in Room Service, Outlet staff, Atrium staff or worst even Reception. I had to suggest this option to the reception staff.
3. Ordered an Atrium Salad with Quail eggs in the lobby, the salad came with no ham, no chicken, no pine nuts and chicken eggs diced in small pieces to hide the fact that there was no quail eggs, basically a green salad and they wanted to charge me for an Atrium Salad, of course neither the waitress highlighted it or the person who prepared the dish did. When disputed they said they will change it and they had to dice the chicken eggs to small pieces as they did not have quail eggs and they simply though by substituting Chicken eggs to quail eggs its fine. Its like you order a duck breast and you receive chicken breast. What they should have done from the start, just informing me the clients about the missing ingredients not playing the ostrich.
4. 3 devices can only be connected to the internet per room and when we asked for a 4th device connection it was declined with no additional support. I mentioned that nowadays we all have smart phones, I pads and laptops and when the room is at least with a double occupancy you need at least 4 device connections (2 laptops / I pads and 2 smart phones).
5. Internet connection was cut for half a day on 17th of March and needed to send emails and access my work platform was not able to do so, no alternative was proposed.
6. Air Conditioning despite it was switched off in the room and the temperature put at C 30 and the fan off, the room was still cold and needed to use a wool blanket, the problem in my opinion in the central Air Conditioning.
7. The toilet cover in Room 330 was broken and the whole seat is too close to the wall you have to use it sideways.

It is a pity, with slight improvements this hotel can be a decent business friendly hotel with the right price quality ratio. You need to improve badly in order to keep up with competition in Doha.

Room Tip: Do not stay in rooms close to the main street as it is quiet noisy, Any room on the side roods are m...
