Having now stayed at the Millenium several times this year I can honestly say they are the friendliest hotel in the Gulf. All the staff are considerate, smiley, helpful and clearly love their job. The rooms are first class, food is excellent, each night there seems to be a specal deal on offer, the location is good, Classy and discreet is an winning combination in my book.

Room Tip: Makes no difference where one's room is - they are all good.

First impressions on arriving were attentive and polite staff. Rooms were very clean and impressive, bed extremely comfortable.
Stayed here for one week during Ramadan and I was not impressed by the self service evening buffet every night; as somebody has mentioned in another review, Centrepoint shopping mall is a few hundred yards away where fast food is available, which made a welcome change.
No problems with the staff throughout the hotel, they were extremely polite and courteous and nothing was too much trouble.
Although located in a quiet location, this meant taking a taxi to more central areas, although taxis are very cheap.
I would have no hesitation in staying here again and I would highly recommend it to other travellers.

You will expect a standard stay in a 5-star hotel - clean room, good service, comfy bed, etc.. nothing extraordinary to shout about. The hotel is next to the Centrepoint - a small shopping mall with fast food chains and cafes, so if you wish to get out of the hotel to have a meal and not wanting to take a taxi, the Centrepoint can be a good choice.

I have been in Millennium Doha several times, very friendly staff, quick, excellent and flexible service. very clean rooms. Once i was there during my birthday, they left me a cake in my room.
Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter.

Not sure which hotel the negative reviewer visited, but I could not recognise the Millenium from his(?) description. The staff at the Millenium are the best I have ever encountered in a hotel: nothing is too much trouble. When my husband stayed there on his birthday in October, the staff brought him a cake to his room and sang "Happy Birthday"! He has visited over a dozen times and raves about it every time. I have visited twice, and found the rooms to be scrupulously clean and very comfortable, the restaurant is a self service buffet, so how anyone could wait 60-90 minutes to eat is beyond me. The staff in the restaurant are charming, and the food is great: Monday is Seafood Night with wonderful fish and shellfish (the Lobster Thermador is very popular) and Wednesday's Asian night offers a vast selection, including very superior sushi.
If you don't want to stay at a dry hotel, then choose another!
As a popular party venue it is possible to hear some noise at the weekends if you listen hard enough, particularly on the lower floors, but not enough to disturb. The windows aren't large, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment.
If every hotel even approached the friendliness and customer care offered by the Millenium, TripAdvisor would soon be out of business!

Room Tip: If you stay at the weekend, maybe ask for a room on the upper floor.
