Invited by friends to celebrate my birthday at The Anvil Rooms. Cosy setting with great views. The service was excellent with no need unattended to.Shemi, our Zimbabwean waiter, was great and for dessert even offered me a South African favorite and said he would see if the kitchen could make it as it is not on the menu. Talk about service! Great meal and great cocktails. I am going back!

Nice comfortable venue on the 28th Floor of the Tornado Tower, warm welcome. Steaks are well chosen and excellently prepared. The bread selection is baked on premises and definitely worth exploring. The hostesses are excellent and make you feel very welcome and have personality, which is rare in Doha. Business lunch 2 course is good value at 150 Riyals.

Doesn't relate to a SteakHouse - the name, right? But it's true. The name relates beautifully the skilled artwork of the blacksmith while carving to the intricacy that Chef Stuart Collins brings to the table.
To call it a restaurant is a let down. You're definitely in a state of trance as soon as you enter the dark knight ambience with jazz playing in the background and the warm welcome of the staff easily complimenting the warm hues and burgundy browns of the décor

My husband and I had dinner here recently. Waiter service was lovely, attentive but not overbearing or pompous. Our waiter was funny and very informative, giving us plenty of information on the menu. Yet we were still able to relax, enjoy the ambience and chat comfortably without hovering staff. I had the pigeon breast for starter and it was delicious, a lovely strong flavour and nicely cooked. I had the 10oz USDA steak for main course and it was quite big so I didn't manage to finish it. It was however perfectly cooked and well rested, the mark of a good restaurant in my opinion. My husband had crab cakes which he enjoyed and the Wagyu sirloin. He enjoyed it but did comment that he has had better Wagyu steak before and would not order it again as he felt he could have had another equally nice piece of steak from the menu at a fairer price. We ordered three sides to share, although fries and one vegetable side would have been adequate. It was nice to be able to enjoy a bottle of wine in a stand alone restaurant. All in all we enjoyed our meal and the ambience of the restaurant and would return.

The reviews on this property/restaurant are as a general, very high, however it is surprising, as this is one of the worst restaurants visited in the country, especially in comparison to the other steak houses within the same level being 5-star. This is an office block, and when you walk inside the building, it is cold with its interiors, and very bland/plain/boring. The restaurant is located on the 28th Floor, so views are a must, however the view is more of other buildings as this place is set back off the main corniche road. Restaurant decor, is nice i suppose, little dull, but typical steak house style, no complaints. Service is very average, with a strange system in place when ordering. Starter was the worst every, being a table of 8 as well, not one of the group came back with a good review on the starters, however on a plus the manager removed them from the bill, which shows how ashamed he was as well. Steak is nice, but nothing to call home about, and not really worth a recommendation for others. Was not impressed at all with this property and would say go elsewhere until the management is reviewed.
