“Great collection”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Despite the youngness of the museum they managed to raise a great collection. Is obvious, that they have a lot of work to curate this collection. On one hand is a show of passion regarding all the Islamic area, and on other hand is a show of material power regarding the car collection those we where able to see.

“An absolute MUST-SEE for visitors and residents of Qatar alike...”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

whether you're visiting Qatar for a few days or live here, like us, this museum is definitely one of your MUST-SEEs...it has a myriad of accumulated artefacts collected from many parts of the Middle East over many years, including pearl furniture, beautiful wooden doors, old cars, Arabic clothing and even an old aeroplane!!! The staff are so interesting too...it's located near the Camel Race track on the road to Dukhan, just about 10 miles outside Doha...gotta go!

“Easily the most interesting museum in Qatar”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Sheikh Faisal's museum is by far my favourite museum in Qatar. It's situated off the Dukhan road, and you need to phone ahead to make sure a member of staff is available to open up for you. Entry is free.

The museum is many times larger than you'd expect with room after room (or should i say warehouse after warehouse) of artifacts, paintings, vehicles, and collectables from around the world. There's even a Damascus house that has been transported into the museum as part of the collection.

Unfortunately, most of the artifacts dont have descriptions, but the guide on site if very knowledgeable. You could easily spend days discovering the museum, and it puts the other museums in Qatar to shame. A real gem in Qatar.
