We walked the Corniche from Dhow Harbour to Downtown Doha (the skyscraper bit) in March. It's about 4 kms. There are lots of boats who will take you on a 1 hour trip around the harbour and up close to the skyscrapers. We paid QR250 for 3 of us and it was well worth it (You need at least 15 people to hire a Dhow).Trouble is we got pestered by every other boat owner on the Corniche after we got off. There are kids play areas and outdoor gym equipment as you go around the bend and a restaurant just before you reach the skyscrapers. There are also toilets and a water vending machine (just QR1 a bottle). The skyscrapers are nearly all empty and there are no ice cream or drinks stalls in that bit, or anywhere to eat or drink that is (apart from the expensive hotels). But we killed a good afternoon there.
