“vibrant and stunning”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

We went to see the power boat racing - superb. The corniche was busy with many people enjoying watching the power boats or simply walking on the path. The sight of the skyscrapers overlooking the Corniche was amazing and this only got better as the light dropped and the buildings were illuminated. Quite a cool breeze by the side of the water. Great feeling as we walked.

“nice but very average.”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

Just a nice view of the water and city.
No swimming allowed anywhere from here.
No tables or chairs to sit. They are only in a few sections. You can sit on concrete ledges or the grass.
NOT much shade along the corniche, so is unbearable in summer and uncomfortable as there is not much shade to sit in.
Its more something you look at from a distance or just walk on... very boring really.

“Beautiful for walking, 6 months a year”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

The Corniche is a 4.4 mile stretch of curved waterfront in Doha. It is a scenic delight and on a gorgeous day, is glistening and amazing. From May through October, it is often just too hot to walk for any length of time. Also, there are few restrooms available along the way, which can be problematic. There is a small snack bar across the street for water, sodas, ice cream toward the middle, and another small shop down toward the Sheraton. There is also a restaurant near the middle but I have not tried it. I think they could do so much better with such a lovely venue. The skyline, water, and scenery are lovely for photography.

“Great for a long stroll”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

During Winter this long harbour path provides travellers with excellent views and a great atmosphere. The path is very well maintained and includes some free exercise equipment making the path good for active people and nice to run along. I think Doha's Corniche is much nicer than the Corniche in Abu Dhabi.
