“Nice place for a evening walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

In the winter months this is a nice place for a walk. The scenery is that of coastal Persian Gulf and you will find a large number of expats doing the same. Some like to sit on the grass and enjoy watching people go past. It is a family area and a 8km walk in one direction.
Pitty that No pet and no bicycles are allowed. Good in one way bad in another

“A lifeline through the city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

The Corniche is the premium seafront promenade and a walk along it one of the must-dos in Doha. Just leave as early as possible in the morning - or as late as possible in the evening, enjoying the night lights (particularly walking past the I.M. Pei-designed Museum of Islamic Art). During the day it can get extremely hot and walking almost becomes unbearing.

Walk as far as you can and like, then either turn around and walk back, or take a bus or taxi back. It is said that metered taxis are difficult to get, but during our stay we had no problems getting one on the street within a few minutes.

“Nice evening walk”

Lots of people jog along here at night. Very pleasant this time of year with a great view of the skyline.

“Awesome at night”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

If you have a significant other you want to romance and find yourself in Doha...you have to come here. (Make sure you bring a camera) the walk along the corniche at night rivals any romantic place in the world (in qata? Really?) yes really. Just as romantic walking in Frankfurt Germany at Christmas, or in Budapest in the spring or the river walk in San Antonio. One draw back...and I found this to be quite vexing...Arabic culture frowns on intimate physical contact with the opposite sex. You can get away with hand holding...but that's about it.

“Good to relax”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

The place is nice but lacks activities and things to do. You can just walk and smell the sea! If its hot then you won't be able to enjoy!
