Jones the Grocer was warmly welcomed into Doha's casual eating scene despite it being another " dry" venue. The service this time was smiling but of the fixed type- all teeth but nothing behind it.It was quick service and the atmosphere was busy and pleasant. I like the concept of eating in a Deli but like most of Doha's eateries it lacked genuine warmth. The Lentil soup was hot and plentiful and easy forgettable. The bread was cold and slightly beyond its sell-by-date- just about edible. The salads were fine but fine isn't really good enough is it? I can make a " fine salad : and make it taste it better. I eat out to eat better than at home. I wont rush back.
