“Best hummus in Doha, along with other dishes.”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

The best Mediterranean food tastes in Doha. Hummus, stuffed olives, tabulleah, and always hot fresh pita.

“Try Wafi !”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

Please give Wafi a try - its closer than a trip to Lebanon and should satisfy your cravings. It is the finest take out, or Lebanese Caterer (traiteur) in Doha. The range of excellent olives is impressive, and they are well worth a try. All in all, Wafi has a lot to offer - from this harvest's olive oil, to a range of Lebanese staples and gourmet foods. If you know NYC, its the equivalent of Zabar's or Dean & Deluca in the Lebanese realm. Wafi is a great asset to the Doha food scene. see http://wafigourmet.com/gourmet/

In regard to the restaurant - if you order well, and navigate well - this could turn out to be a world-class food experience. If you order kabobs - which is recommended - I suggest you select your own from the case. Still, Wafi is a better bet than many other Lebanese places in Doha

I regret writing an earlier negative review, but I accurately memorialized what happened. Mistakes happen - but . The take out is superb, and the restaurant has the potential to be great - depending what you order. Wafi is authentic and high quality - and this is enough. In terms of price/performance - it is excellent, but not cheap. In Doha, there are places with better atmosphere - where the food is not as authentic.

There is much room for improvement in regard to customer service, but hopefully you won't have to complain. Good luck and bon appetite !

“Worst place ever”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

Yesterday I went wafi gourmet for Iftar in ramadan and chose to take menu seated Iftar instead of the open buffet , it was the worst food and service I have ever experienced in Doha, the food was burnt and tasteless and I had food poisoning for the rest of the day, and when I called the manager the Mr. Ashraf Rizk the stuff said that he is not here before 10 o'clock PM, leaving the floor at. Iftar time is the most irresponsible thing any manager could do in Ramadan.

And the hilarious part is when I called the waiter to show him the burnt food he tried to convince me that it is supposed to be this way as Lebanese cuisine traditions.

That is the worst place in Doha and I wouldn't. Recommend it for anyone, neither service
nor food and it is far far away from the Lebanese kitchen standards.

These people are surving Burnt tasteless food.
