The "Blue" restaurant is in the Heritage Hotel (hidden at the back of Aspire Sport Zone) and it is not on the usual list of "must eat at" restaurants, but it should be in my opinion.
The design of the restaurant is contemporary, the setting is subtle and the view across the terrace is of trees and garden walkways around the back of the Aspire Sport Zone. Then the surprises start. The menu is presented on an iPad. The staff are very friendly and well presented. The restaurant is "dry" in that they don’t serve alcohol - but the sushi and sashimi is some of the best, if not the best, I have ever tasted in Doha. The chef's creations is absolutely divine, and what a pleasant surprise it is to find a chef that still creates and experiments with sushi and sashimi. What is presented on your plate covers all the bases - appearance, texture and complimentary tastes all together makes the meal a memorable one.
The menus also offer steaks (I spotted Wagyu beef amongst other things) and other restaurant fares but I will definitely be back just for the sushi and sashimi.
