No matter what I vist for...a meal, a concert, an exhibtion or just to wander around on a cool evening I always enjoy my visit to Katara.
Discovering newly opened emporiums in the narrow streets is a delight, and the very reasonably priced Lwzaar fish restaurant is a pleasant way to end an evening.
Be aware if you are arriving late in the evening parking can be a problem, I always like to go early and leave before the crowds arrive.

Interesting, realxing and pretty surroundings, Katara is a must see in Doha. Resturants are tasty, easy to walk around but DON'T wear heels - it's full of cobbles!

We have just gone there, after reading some of the reviews. On arrival, you get picked up,by a golf cart, who takes you to the area of restaurants. There are around 8-10 of them, large and a bit pricy. A sort of amphitheater of marble and a mosque. Couple buildings. Then a beach, where there are some inflatables for the kids to play.
Other than that (restaurants and a each) nothing to see nor do.

Nice to visit when the weather is quite pleasant as most of the site is outdoors and better to start your visit with the sunset.
