“A must see in Doha”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

I'm not really sure what to call this place. It has a beach, plenty of cafes and restaurants by the water, playgrounds, shops, and the best part is the amphitheater and museum area. The amphitheater has constant shows of Opera/Doha Orchestra. The museum area's exhibits are constantly changing, so it keeps it interesting. Plenty of parking. Beach is kind of pricey, 100QR per person for a day pass, but this includes umbrella, chair, and the beach has lots of inflatable slides and stuff. Food is reasonably priced; there are small cafes and shawarma stands, and fancy sit down restaurants.

“Brand new cultural village”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

very special place, with an huge amfi theather in the middle.

A nice place to spend some hours, looking at the buildings and visiting the galleries. All is free, and you will even be transported around in small golf cars.

The public beach just in front of Katara is also very nice. Would like to visit in the evening also and test the food in some of the restaurants.
