December 2012 I stayed for some nights at the Kingsgate Hotel in Doha. The Hotel is conveniently close located to Doha International Airport, and the Souq Waqif, a beautifully restored/rebuild area of endless alleyways through the traditional Doha Souq, with cafes and restaurants to indulge in Arabian delights. The Hotel is a 15-minute Taxi-drive from the modern city center with all the new highrise buildings. The Hotel is a modern building, with standard rooms (apartment style with a little kitchen area, proper fridge and sink) and standard bathrooms. The Hotel is clean and organized and the staff very friendly, helpful and service-minded. The restaurant is small but Breakfast and also Dinner experience was OK. Watch for the Taxi Drivers in Doha, they are not familiar with road names and addresses, its better to indicate a landmark. The Hotel does not have a car driveway, so you need to leave the cab on the main or the side road. The area around the hotel is perfectly safe and the Corniche, the beautiful waterfront road with incredible views of the Doha Skyline, is a 15 minute walk away. Shops and supermarkets close by.

Nice hotel, good service, friendly staff :) Especially in our longstay the staff (waiter- waitresses-concierge etc.) they are all very nice.

The rooms are average of what you would expect from a hotel of it's category, although very clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: Room on the south side

The Hotel is modern and has wifi throughout the building.
The room are of correct size and mine has a kitchnette with a microwave and a fridge.
The hotel is missing a car park but there is an empty piece of land opposite from the entrance and I managed to squeeze my car in there every night. Parking may be challenging otherwise.
Souq Waqif is within walking distance from the hotel as well as the Museum of Islamic Art.

Good day, i shocked when i saw there is no parking for the hotel i park my car and i know its wrong side of way but it seems everyone did that , first the reception smiley and friendly but very slow and although i cam late to the check in time wish is 14:00 and cam at 17:00 but my room not ready i waited for about 6 min. then when i take the key and go i found a very small room and the most thing get me angry that they have very small bed it is not enough for couple to sleep on when i complain about it and that is not a king bed it is a single bed they say this our bed and the pic in the website only for suite !! it shock me but i will never come back for this ho

Room Tip: only think of suite if you want to take a room as couple otherwise it will smother you .
