“Worth an hour of your time”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Doha is a city that is changing rapidly and the Msheireb Enrichment provides some fascinating exhibits that showcase Doha's past. It also explains the architectural concepts that are being used at the new Downtown Doha and how these draw upon the traditions of the past. The main downside of this facility is that it has fairly restricted opening hours.

“Small, but interesting glimpse of Doha's history”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

A small, free museum showing old photographs of Doha with a few artifacts. It's interesting to see how the city has developed over the last 50 years, but you can cover most of the museum part in 10 minutes.

The exhibition is clearly sponsored by the developer of the Msheireb project (located next to Souk Waqif) as the second half of the exhibition looks at the architectural ideas and layout of this development, and includes a large mockup off the project itself.

“Little known, yet excellent exhibit about Doha's society and built environment”
Reviewed December 9, 2012 via mobile

You can't miss this, particularly if you enjoy architecture. Msheireb is the key state sponsored urban renewal development project. It's a world class project with impressive adoption of modern green building and historical Qatari design practices. The interactive displays do a remarkable job telling the project and Qatar's development narrative.
