“Lebanese&Armenian restaurant in Katara”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

We went for a lunch, and the terrace upstairs was fully booked. I recommend to make a reservation because the restaurant was suddenly crowded. Anyway we stayed at the dinning room and it was fantastic. The staff was very helpful and professional. The restaurant has a variated menu and everything was delicious.
Familiar atmosphere but also could be romantic and the perfect place for any kind of celebrations because there is a lot of space. Even is crowded it´s not annoying.
I recommend this restaurant during the winter days and summer nights, and for sure I´ll come back!

“Romantic Atmosphere”
Reviewed May 15, 2014

A beautiful dinner time with my wife in Mamig restaurant - Katara.
It's a mixture of Armenian and Lebanese dishes. Great dinner. Wonderful service, nice and helpful staff with romantic atmosphere.
Sure you will enjoy it. My opinion it's one of the best restaurants in Qatar.

“Excellent restaurant in a perfect location for the evening walk”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

It is important to first place Mamig restaurant in its location. This is the Katara District of Doha. The district with its distinctive architectural styles and promenade along the bay is perhaps the most beautiful location in the Gulf region for an evening stroll and people watching - especially before the heat gets too oppressive. The restaurant is one of many in the district featuring different cuisines and price ranges.

It is also important to note that Mamig typically of all restaurants in Doha has a non smoking and smoking section and is very family friendly. It also serves no alcohol. It very spacious with a large downstairs section and upstairs a large outdoor terrace also. This affords you spectacular views across the bay of the Doha skyline.

The food is high quality Armenian?Mediterranean food prepared in an open kitchen. They have a wide range of drinks including Mocktails. The menu is extensive and would suit all tastes.

In the Mediterranean tradition there is a wide range of excellent starters and one would be able to order enough of these small dishes (Meze) to eat adequately. All were excellent. The quail eggs were particularly noteworthy as was the grilled Haloumi, spring rolls and the Homous. One plate would be suitable for 3 or 4 people and several dishes would serve as a meal for most people.

There was a wide variety of main courses. Again all of good quality with obviously fresh ingredients. Lamb chops were excellent as was the beef dish. The sides - grilled tomatoes, onions and peppers were also fresh and grilled to perfection.

Service was prompt, friendly and attentive without being overwhelming.

And in a very expensive city the price was also right.

The restaurant was full but with a moderate noise level. Non smokers definitely need to be seated in the non smoking section (as would most light smokers as this is still a thoughtless smoking country).

One final point, Katara has a parking section and free clubcars to take people to their destination inside the district. There are several interesting galleries to visit so plan to walk off the meal and visit them.

“Good food, lousy service”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

This restaurant has an interesting selection of Lebanese and Armenian dishes. I ordered mashawi, mezzes and additional items. The mashawi were good and tasty, so were most of the mezzes except, strangely enough, for the Sojouk which is a signature Armenian dish. The French fries came after the mashawi, although we kept reminding the waiter. The reception at the door was indifferent, and it felt like they're doing you a favor by letting you in.
