Description: LADOLCEVITA Italian Restaurant in Souk Waqif When it comes to romance, lusty Italian food is a tasty aphrodisiac that exude contemporary elegance, from trattoria with old-hometown traditions to eateries featuring innovations of modern gastronomies, in the back side hideaways of Souq Waqif there lies the Typical" Ristorante Italiano Home-made cuisine called LADOLCEVITA where Lovers of a certain age or couples who are into Gilded Age dining experiences will be enraptured by Mamma Giuliana’s Menu of the day, besides special treatment to all Customers . Open since 2009 (and still run by the same family after all these years). The interiors still remain the same with the Italian Dolce Vita Fellini’s touch. It's a captivating environment, warmed by candles and dimmed light, shelves of wood with variety of pastas, daily flower arrangement on our Espresso bar (best coffee in town). Happily, it's not all about looks. The kitchen turns out impeccable homeland cuisine of the owners by two Italia

Try the Ravioli, the best in the city. Very ambient and cosy atmosphere. Staff are very friendly, makes you feel you're home. It is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Qatar.

That was our first and definitely the last time to go to this place. I can only judge the service because we decided not to waste more of our time and left without ordering dinner. The waitress is lazy, careless and moody! she served another table (who came way after us) with a basket of bread And drinking glasses for their drinks on the contrary of what she served us, a bottle of water with no drinking glasses!
On a Menu wise, it's dull considering what they charge.
Spare your self a favor and indulge yourself go 2 yum yum or the market (top first and second restaurants on trip advisor) where you can find a value for your money and great great food and service with almost half what this restaurant is charging.

Dear Mrs Caramelaa,
I do recall the incident when you came in to our restaurant, I met you at the door , you were two ladies and you asked me a table for 4 persons ,you were seated and menu were handed,
The waitress came to you asking if you would like something to drink, meanwhile, waiting
For the other two persons, you ordered a bottle of water. After five minutes three new guests
Came in, they were seated on the table next to you, same menu have been handed to them while the waitress asked them for drinks. The waitress approached you; you told her that still you were Waiting for the other two persons. The table next to you ordered there food and were served not As you stated before you but because you were still waiting for the other two. Moreover, you called the waitress asking her why she gave two glasses the other table and she answered they ordered water and each one ordered another soft drink, you complained to her not having a glass all glasses were already on the table with the napkin in, And she told you, if you wished for another one, this is where your party the two other persons entered a gentleman and a boy, you got angry, asked for your bill. Even the gentleman asked you why?
Actually, madam, you cannot accuse if you don’t have a good excuse, our prices are not hidden, it is stated on our menu everywhere you Google us it is between US $ 20 and $50 depending on what you order. For sure there are better restaurants as you stated but not same cuisine. We have wished You have tried it. You are still welcomed and will make sure to take good care of you.
Anyhow, we accept your negative comment nobody is perfect
Regards
Alain

Totally enjoyed our family experience here! Great to get away from the hotel. Food was lovely and explained fully by owner. Beautiful lady! Was a loving person who had a real passion for her restaurant. The place was busy but she had time to chat. The ice cream was homemade by her husband. Best chocolate ice cream ever! Very rich so beaware! One recommendation, when you book, ask for instructions where the restaurant is. Not easy to find. Wonderful would visit again if I returned to Doha!

Went on Thursday night, Parking was difficult in Souq Waqif, parked far away and took a long walk.

I was expecting this place to be full, but was surprised that only two tables were occupied.

Owner lady came over to our table and explained the special etc to us.

We had shrimp salad (catalina shrimp, not sure of name) it was nice, enjoyed it,

We had Spaghetti with lobster (Special of the day) and Spaghetti with beef beacon.

Spaghetti with lobster only have it if you don't mind strong sea food flavors, which i don't, so enjoyed it.

Spaghetti with beacon was nice and cheesy, Spaghetti was cooked "al dente"

Tiramisu was average really, too much cream.

Friendly staff and good service. One thing that can help them is if staff was to ask before taking things away from the table, for example, they were taking away Bruschetta and Olive oil, we had to tell them, please don't we still need this.

One thing I did not like was the bread they served, they can definitely to a better job of the bread.

Nothing in this restaurant was above average, All in all good place to go for a quite meal

Before ordering the special please check the price, as it is not mentioned in the little board they have, no surprises that way.

As far as the price you are right we should mention it to the client .
For parking I have a tip for next time you come behind the souq where they use to be souq najda there is a parking accross the road less than 50 mts from our restaurant in front of the mosque ,call us next time we will direct you to it.
Again thank you for your comments it is very helpfull so as to improve in the future .
