“what a sight, greatness”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

This is a great place to be in the cooler months. The view of the sea, the park and museum are fantastic, well maintained. Its the perfect place for a date, stroll, jog, picnic, or quiet time or to meet with friends and just chill out.

“Best attraction in Doha”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

This is certainly a must-go place in Doha. The building itself is worth the visit with beautiful architecture, details and finishing both inside and outside. The collection provides for a brief overview of Islamic art and is great for visitors wanting to get a general understanding of Islamic Art. The museum also provides a great view of the corniche and the skyline of Doha city centre

“A Pleasure for the Heart, Eyes, and Mind”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

Very impressive from the first approach. Extremely well organized and beautifully presented. The items are grappling and easily captivated all my senses. Planned for three hours and six hours were gone before we realized it. Not only is it free, but they allowed us to take pictures. The memories will be with us forever.

“Breathtaking view, artifacts stunningly displayed”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

Went back to Doha recently and visited the Museum of Islamic Art, first time a few years. It is just as impressive as when it opened. The exhibits are beautifully displayed and have well-written explanations. Some of the pieces are like old friends, the warrior's mask, the set of armor, the superb examples of various styles of calligraphy. If you have time, make two visits instead of one. There is just so much to take in. There is a nice (and pricey) gift shop with 'something for everyone.' The view is absolutely stunning. There's no cost. I.M. Pei designed the museum, it would be worth a visit just to appreciate the design and architecture. Not to be missed if you're in Doha.
